I been on the beach and walked along the beach back to Exmouth before. It is a lovely spot to picture and sit by the sea on a sunny day. I was there during the week, I was staying over at Sandy Bay caravan park, between Saturday 18th June 2022 and Saturday 25th June 2022, with a few friends. (This was to coincide with the painting and decorating taking place at my home address in Exmouth, whilst two of my housemates were staying at the Bond Hotel, Blackpool with the "Exmouth Gateway Club" from Friday 17th June 2022 till Friday 24th June 2022).
I also been to Sandy Bay during previous years with friends who were staying at the holiday park, and been there with people who live with, before and during the lockdown on occasions.

Have just returned from a week's hols in Bay view 5 caravan private owner. Stunning location stunning caravan and stunning view. Diane and her hubby keeps the caravan immaculate and communicates to a high level. I have to say in all my years staying in hols accommodation in Devon and Cornwall, this one was the icing on the cake. The weather was so mild that I sat on the veranda and watched the sunrise and sunset over the sea eveey day. Private beach. Central to all locations. I didn't use any facilities on site as they were closed due to it being November but that didn't matter atall. Close to lidls and petrol station and town. Thank you Diane and hubby. I'm coming back next year for sure 😎😍 you can find this caravan on directholidayhomes.

We stayed at the Devon Cliffs and Sandy Bay Beach was the beach down from the site. Walkway down which can be slippery just go careful, lovely sand to walk on and really clean beach, water was clear and some lovely shells on beach. Obviously don’t sit near the cliffs warning signs everywhere, also graded as a Blue Flag beach. Lifeguards on duty as well which is good to see.
Looks like they are constructing some sort of snack bar/cafe which is needed and will do well as saves having Togo back up the slope each time .
Lovely beach and good day out to spend with family.

These holiday parks are really nice at this time of the year, but then that's why we come out of season. Sandy bay is no exception, the staff are always friendly and helpful.
The beach is really nice to,some nice walks all around.
I dropped one star as I found the takeaway food Very expensive and Not worth the money, all food outside the site it was less than half the price.

Stayed in a caravan at the Sandy Bay site through Newman Holidays. Well organised, we booked a caravan, but then saw one with a better view - so I rang them back straight away and upgraded The caravan was well equipped and clean (you can pay to get bedding and towels)
Not a family so we didn’t use the facilities. Because we wanted a break but needed to be careful I took all our food, you could get fish and chips to take away and pizzas, take away or have them delivered to your caravan
Hope to go again some time

Having been a lodge owner at Havens Holiday park at Sandy Bay for 6 years now.
For us, it is absolutely first class. Perfect beaches, plenty to do for both adults and children. friendly staff in all departments. both inside and outside eateries and facilities immaculately clean.
We have had many friends and relatives stay for long weekends or holidays to everyone's enjoyment. Yes, as you can imagine, children crying we don't want to leave!
This is Haven's premier sight in Europe; and once you have been you will understand why. See you there soon!

I can imagine that it would be quite lovely when not so overcrowded, but on our visit, it was rammed. It took far longer than expected to walk down to the beach, through the very large caravan park. We were lucky enough to get the bus back to our car afterwards, to save a lot of uphill walking with beach bags! Lots of seaweed, which in itself isn't a problem - but also lots of litter (due to the masses of people not clearing up after themselves) and a bit of a whiff....

A highlight of the Devon cliffs. The beach is well maintained it can get busy but if you walk a bit further along the beach then you can find a quieter spot away from the crowds. Easily accessible from the Haven holiday park.

This is a Blue Flag Beach and you can see why - absolutely lovely! My grandson loved going to the beach during our stay and managed to overcome his fear of walking in the shallows of the sea. My daughter and partner took my grandson everyday for a few hours
I did not go to the beach as I have a disability that affects my mobility and there was a steep incline to get to and from the beach. I am not a lover of the beach, though, more a poolside person tbh so this did not bother me or spoil my holiday

It’s a nice beach BUT when the sea is a bit rough it deposits copious amounts of seaweed on the beach which isn’t at all pleasant. That’s nature for you, they do try and clear it up but it’s a never ending task.
Both times we’ve been has been the same, once in June and once in August.
