Thoroughly enjoyed the walk although we were blown along .walked along the dunes then took the easier option down below on footpath. Many birds to see and swans on water ,area very easy walking.Unfortunately information centre closed but as you would expect in Febuary. The only downside was parking fees in Febuary!! We had a lovely but cold walk out past the golf course and we went to the bird hide we saw some good birds feeding on the bud flats.

Walked right round the nature reserve on a recent visit & very much enjoyed it. Very peaceful, although no hustle & bustle in Dawlish Warren when we were there (January) in the summer season must be a great "get away from it all" place to go. Many birds enjoying this natural haven. Dogs were allowed so far but not the... More

I often go here , especially in summer , to escape the public beach and to enjoy the solitude . The path along the top of the dunes takes you to sections of sandy beach separated by timber fencing , so it's uncrowded and private. At the far end you get a great view of the Exe estuary and Exmouth... More

Spent the last 3 fays in Dawlish Warren, always love a walk around the nature reserve, so big and wild, dogs allowed but these days must be on a lead in the reserve, loads to see, plenty of geese and other water birds etc. During summer there are organised events, details posted on the reserve offices.

Well I've never seen this many of each bird in the same place! Oystercatchers, cormorants, gulls, ringed plovers didn't know they formed flocks! Dunlin, curlew. Just too far away for me to take decent photos without a tripod. 600mm lens fast iso and a good tripod a dream visit would follow

Marvellous place to visit if you're a 'twitcher'. The bird life is abundant and delightful. Be prepared for a long walk if you want to go through the reserve to the tip of the headland opposite Exmouth and back via the beach - but it is worth it. Spend as little or as long as necessary but you benefit from... More

I thoroughly enjoyed walking around the Nature Reserve .I saw the lovely Evening primrose flowers growing wild and the many wild plants, i did not see the lizards but heard it would be well worth another visit just to see them
