Nothing could be better than pony trekking across the Moors. Did this as a teenager, many years ago and will return some day.

I visited Shilstone Rock for a hen party ride, our group had mixed ability although 4 out of the group own or have owned horses and would consider themselves experienced riders. The weather was unfortunately against us being a very windy and wet day which affected the horses who played up resulting in two riders falling off. We returned early... More

My two daughters ages 11 and 14 years had a wonderful 2 hour ride on the moors. Alona and Corina ensure that the horses are suited to your ability so that you have an enjoyable experience. We will be back again!

Good horses, friendly lead riders but it's a long and steep trek by road to the open moor if only booked on an hour ride.

Had a great afternoon ride yesterday on the moor. The staff at the riding centre were fantastic and made the experience very memorable.

I'm not normally known to to have a kindred spirit thing with animals that are generally larger than me or that sting or bite or generally could cause me harm, but the experience I witnessed today at the Shilstone Rocks Riding School went a long way to put most of my fears to rest.We had a most thorough induction and an... This was the 8th time in 11 years we've visited Shilstone Rocks and as ever we were greeted warmly and my pony mad girls had a fabulous time. Both our daughters ride very competantly and were keen to get out onto the moors for a canter. We are well prepared for the rather slow paperwork/ assessment bit [allow 1/2 hour... More

4 of us (16-23 years) booked in for a 2 hour trek at relatively last minute as total beginners. Considering none of us had been on a horse before we were a little nervous. However, the tuition was excellent and we enjoyed the trek through the moors and the wildlife. I had a great time on Akubra and big thanks... More
