The very kind lady in the Visitor Centre helped set our plan for the rest of the day, as well as a decent map to follow. We then enjoyed the various exhibitions on display. I do love this type of visit centre.

Lots of good souvenirs to purchase . Helpful staff ,,,, 50 years ago this building was the officers mess for prison staff . Me mum ran the dancing class here so it was a bit surreal turning up years later to wander about buying souvenirs...More

There is so much to see and do on Dartmoor which can easily be missed.The visitor centre in Princetown has all the information you need.Not far from the infamous prison which we all find quite interesting.

We try to take our visitors to the Princetown Visitor Centre. You can watch a film, listen to the audio tapes with earphones, and even dress up in authentic outfits! Plenty to see and read there, plus a very nice "Dartmoor" shop selling an array...More

Having been to Princetown but never stopped to go in the visitor centre. Well I should have it was very interesting and worthwhile indeed. The history of the moors is very fascinating and it was well put together. Good selection of local goods to buy
