Just a pure delight with WC services avaiable secluded in the wooded surroundings but you do have to pay for parking. Very popular with school visits.

Sunny weekend, picnic, nature, no crowds, lovely trees, pretty streams with ancient stone bridges, escaped criminals from Dartmoor... (joking), what more can you want to get away from modern life ? We love this place.

My new favourite place. Absolutely lovely. Just be aware that most of the forest is currently closed off to the public.

We stopped in Postbridge at the NP centre for our walk through Bellever forest and up to Bellever Tor then around Laughter Tor and back along the Dart. The circular walk took around 3 hours without any steep or boggy sections. Some beautiful scenery and...More

When in Devon, you must take time to visit Dartmoor. Wonderful scenery, nature at its best. The walks around Bellever through forest and across the Moor, are excellent. The clapper bridge is lovely. (Chargeable) car park and toilet.

Lovely woodland walk. Went with three children, 11, 6 & 2 + the dog and we all had a great time. Nice and quiet but was a damp October half term day so that may have something to do with it. Very handy toilet block...More

Great walks, reasonable car parking charges (especially as it has a loo!). The clapper bridge is well worth a visit.

The car park for Bellever Forest is in a lovely location next to the river Dart. There are toilets and a picnic area. There are in theory marked trails but we found they are not very well marked. We wanted to follow one of them...More

There is no set walk as such. Your walk could be as long as you wanted. Lots of boulders to negotiate near the river so beware your little dog doesn't overdo it.
