Maybe gold won't be enough! Beautiful arts and crafts with extraordinary prices, well for me anyway. £90 for a plain leather belt? But the piece of 'art' that really got me thinking was a 24" by 12" canvas (my estimation of the dimensions) plain white with symmetrical lines of dots that in my humble opinion my 10 year old grandson... Hello, thank you for your comments. Here at the Guild we have a panel of professionals who select our makers to acheive a gold standard of quality, to stand out from small souvenir shops which sell mass produced cheap items. Even so we aim to stock a range of crafts from the very affordable to more luxury and bespoke. Each... More

Some really nice stuff, but very expensive. Avoid the snooty cafe, though, really bad service, and a long wait though when it finally arrives the food is surprisingly good.

We enjoy visiting here and do so regularly when driving to the west country. There is an interesting display of a variety of arts and crafts. The cafe serves good fresh food.

Not reviewed the Guild for 5 years + but we tend to come here two or three times a year and rarely regret it. The newish building in the courtyard and the move of the cafe upstairs or great improvement since our last review. The food and service aren't bad at all but the prices have crept up. It's noticeable... More

I have visited this place on and off over the years, and have always approved of it as a quality showcase for South West Crafts, but it seems now to have hit the perfect combination of great exhibitions, a well stocked and interesting shop and upstairs is a superb cafe with friendly and efficient service with outstanding fresh, healthy menu... Was walking in the area and we were looking for somewhere to have lunch. This place is on the bank of the river and is a light and airey gallery with some interesting local artists, combined with a shop. Above is the tea room which does excellent cakes as well as sandwiches and other hot food. Well worth a visit... More

After spending a good hour looking at the crafts on display. Upstairs to the restaurant. I really enjoyed the Pork and apple burger with a massive salad. The soups for the ladies was really tasty. Very busy. Great staff serving.

It would be really nice to give this more points because parts of it are wonderful. The gallery displays a very wide range of art, jewellery, books, cards and other carefully made and selected treasures. They are all beautifully lit and it is usually a pleasure to visit. They also have some exceptional exhibitions. The café has had its ups... More

Was taken for lunch meeting a friend I hadn't seen for over 20 years, we ordered lunch and hot drinks and waited ... And waited ... Over an hour and enquired and was told in about 15 mins... Unfortunately we had to be elsewhere so cancelled order and left hungry

Thank you for your comments. We are genuinely sorry you had a bad experience here and always take comments seriously. We have spoken to café staff and have adjusted the way we work so that this does not happen again. Just to let you know, though this is not an excuse, that we have had a big changeover of staff...
