A great day out for kids

With boys 12 & 10 they loved this place. The only slight let down was the indoor climbing wall. It's not cheap but it got them out doing things and they loved it!

The breakfast was a crime against humanity, absolutely vile. We paid £140 for a twin room for the weekend and wifi wasn't even included, I've been to third world countries with free wifi even when you haven't paid for a room. The green emergency light was incredibly bright and everything about the room was the cheapest tat they could get... More

Took the kids to the fireworks last night which were very very good - however they had turned the place into a theme park, thumping music and inflatable stuff - horrid. It wasn't enough to just to have a bonfire and fireworks and a cup of soup! We love the Park and go there regularly, this was disappointing.

Visited the county park as a day visitor with family and kids. Great location and very busy as it was summer. numerous activities on and especially loved the "tree top trail" kids enjoyed playing in the various areas. Not every activity is included so be mindful you may have to pay for a number of activities, cash and cards accepted.... More

Visited here for work with a group of young men and women to do the high tree tops walk. For starts the communication beforehand, via email was excellent and no questions were too much trouble to be answered. We arrived on a decent day, during the week, and despite them being closed for weekdays as it was out of season,... More

My wife and I travelled 62 miles today with our excited young boys (5 and 7) to play at River Dart Country Park. We arrived to find that a VW festival was on and that we would have to pay £6 each (£24 total) to enter instead of the usual £7 car park charge. There was no mention of this... More

Dear Richard M. I am sorry to hear that your visit to the Park did not live up to your expectations. I have checked our website and the VW fest was advertised on our news and events page. On our opening times & prices Oct - March it does state that it is £6 entry per person due to the... More

We have been here many times, the kids love it because there is so much to play on,mainly all natural things, like ropes, trees and a pirate ship in a lake, your best to take wet suits if its not in the warm weather

We were very lucky to be accommodated over bank holiday as were last minute almost. Impressed by the staff all lovely and friendly. The pitches at the top nearer the wardens hit have a prettier view and I expect on not such a busy time would be ideal however it was heaving with people crammed into tents and caravans and... More
