Brilliant cafe here

Nice little beach at the end of the Breakwater - made exceptional by the gorgeous little bistro. Best seafood salad and ice creams and great pimms!

Breakwater cafe & beach are GREAT!
Jul 2021
An exceedingly busy beach and cafe/shop. Great selection of snacks and drinks .. albeit a tad expensive, knowing other establishments aren’t as much .. but, an all round great day out and better if you get there early and sit by the back rocks so the tide doesn’t catch/move you!

An excellent and interesting place to catch the sun.

pocket sized beach just between the long breakwater and the Shoalstone pool. We were fortunate enough to view the powerboat racing, which was both exciting, and equally confusing. The beach, despite is proximity to the Fishing boat docks, and the old harbour is clean, and attractive and near to the facilities. An excellent and interesting place to catch the sun.

Fraudsters! No respect for customers
Aug 2020 • Family
As per other reviews, don't park here. Purchased a ticket on a bank holiday weekend, 1 machine was working, due to childcare reasons we returned to car 4 minutes after parking expired, however, were issued a PCN based on times entering and leaving the car park as opposed to the times the ticket was purchased - ridiculous. Why operate a ticket system and make you queue for 20 mins when they operate with automatic number plate recognition. Zero compassion. Zero understanding. Additional stress. Impossible to contact them to discuss. All in all, awful experience

Don't use Marina car park
Sep 2020
Don't use Brixham Marina car park. I thought I had followed the instructions on the ticket machine, definitely entered my reg. no. correctly, but ticket came out of machine without reg. no. on it. My money had been taken and I didn't know whether ticket was supposed to have reg. on it anyway. I was concerned enough to keep my ticket, as it said on it that it was my receipt, so I thought that would cover me. Got home to find a £100 fine waiting. I appealed and they rejected it, saying I should have bought another ticket when I realised my reg. no. was not on it. Had to pay reduced fine of £20.50.

No dogs in the summer
Aug 2020
We had a walk up to here from the harbour in the evening. The beach was pretty quiet when we visited and was going to have a nice stroll on the beach, but unfortunately, no dogs were allowed when we visited in August.

BEWARE - BREAKWATER MULTI STOREY RIPS YOU OFF
Aug 2020
Lovely beach, but the multi-storey has ANPR cameras that time your entry and send you a ticket, even if you've purchased parking. It times from the point of entry, to the time you leave, so your ticket needs to match within the ten minute grace period, or else you'll get a fine of £60 and you won't be able to defend it. The fine will arrive by post - make sure you keep the ticket for evidence! Also, when trying to pay your fine online, it doesn't recognise your number plate or PCN reference - so you end up having to phone to make the payment - and then they charge you another 50 pence admin fee!!

ADVICE - MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE PAPER COPY OF THE PARKING TICKET FOR AT LEAST 3 WEEKS AFTER YOUR VISIT FOR PROOF OF PAYMENT

Nice beach area Good swimming and clear waters. Also a long stone pier going nearly a mile out. Good chance to see seals

Cosy beach, great evening hangout
Aug 2020
Fantastic little beach with attractive shop/cafe, rocks to climb on one side, breakwater to walk down the other with views over Brixham harbour. Great place to spend the early evening, especially if you like skimming stones, as the small flat pebbles are made for it.
