Shoalstone Sea Water Pool is an iconic feature of the South Devon Coast ... FREE to use and Enjoy! Each year, the Friends work tirelessly to reclaim this historic sea water pool from the ravages inflicted upon it by the wild winter storms and huge seas. Shoalstone Pool is one of only a few remaining sea water poolsin this country. The money raised by the Friends pays for its annual cleaning, painting and recommissioning, and also helps to build a contingency fund in the event of a major storm and any subsequent repairs needed. When you join the Friends of Shoalstone Pool, or contribute via the Square Metre Appeal or attend one of the Friends' fundraising events, you are making an important contribution to the preservation of an iconic amenity which is loved and enjoyed both by local residents and the many visitors to the region. We really welcome your encouragement!

What a great local asset and maintained by volunteers. Chuckling at the negative comment about the dogs as that was a 'one day only' event. Lovely place to spend a few hours - if the sun is shining. Water still fresh, but can't do much...More

Lovely spot on a summers day. Great view back across Torbay. Water quite warm really considering it comes in from the sea.

Came to Brixham and thought we’d seek out this pool. Disappointingly it was closed and looks as if some repairs are being done. Probably should have checked it on a local website but took a chance as it was local. Looks great, short walk from...More

Why doesn't Brixham shout about this place? It's awesome! We found out about it by accident, from someone in a shop. It's a little further away from the harbour - but I always think the best places are the ones off the beaten track, and...More

It’s deeper in some parts we couldn’t go in but I seem to remember it’s shallow at one end you walk down a ramp and into it probably not massively deep 4 ft/5ft the other end
