Busy and bustling Brixham has some good shops, pubs and restaurants around and overlooking the harbour. Crab nets and crab lines are available from nearly every shop, and leaning over the harbour wall crabbing, quickly gets you plenty of the critters - buy a bucket with your net!

We've been a few times to this lovely harbour. It was a hot day so a quick wander around and then a refreshing harbourside drink whilst looking at the Golden Hind replica. Could've stayed all day..

Must visit the weekend market, have a fresh seafood salad from one of the kiosks, catch the ferry to Torquay or browse in the many little shops, have a special gin/cocktail in Liberty (it's amazing) and go crabbing whilst the grown ups drink rattler in The Prince William and we also highly recommend the carvery there.

Nice little place to visit, with nice little cafes to sit and have a cuppa tea or dinner for a reasonable price

A beautiful harbour with lots of great souvenir shops, stocking good quality and stylish gifts. The harbour is very pretty and there are lots of opportunities for children to go crabbing. Lots of good quality restaurants, cafés and ice-cream shops around the harbour. Very quaint, very English and very friendly. Definitely worth a visit, allow half a day at least.

Sailed over on a boat trip from Torquay. Very busy being a Sunday. It's a good walk to the end of the breakwater which I learned on the informative boat trip that it was completed in 1908 after taking over 60 years to build. Lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. I'm sure you can go mackerel fishing if... More

Absolutely stunning, lots of friendly fishermen about who help you lure in the seals with their fish! We spotted Sammy the seal on more than one occasion, we were very lucky to spot so many seals. I really wish people would bin their rubbish, it was sad to see the marina with so much fishing line and general rubbish. We... More
