Great place for anyone. walks, beaches, entertainment, rockpooling , paddling, being lazy. Don't panic about the narrow lanes as they are all part of Devon. Plenty of eating places and a pub on the beach. I have been going there for 40 yrs now and still keep going back. Go Enjoy

Came here to walk across to hill, make sure you check tides if you're walking across, lovely beaches clear and clean with plenty of room.

Wow. Has everything, rockpools to one side and sand to the other with a nice pub at low tide and great cafe - Venus. Gets packed at high season though! Have been visiting for years and will continue to return!

Had a fab few hours walking to Burgh Island then all along the beach. Our dog loved it. Beach is very clean with lots of interesting rock pools for children to explore. Weather was gorgeous so we were spoilt. Views were amazing and tea in café was also good. All in all well worth the car park costs of £1.30... More

The beach is lovely, lots of sand and rock pools, including some big/deep enought for small children/dogs to swim. And a lovely walk across to Burgh Island. But watch the car parking charges - we arrived in a downpour late on Sunday afternoon to an empty carpark and didn't notice the pay and display is 24 hours/7 days a week.... More

Beautiful beach. Standing on Burgh Island, watching the sea wrap around the island at high tide was amazing. So peaceful - this is a great beach that never seems to overcrowd.

We visited Bigbury Beach this weekend - we were so lucky to have such a sunny and warm day for February. We walked over to the pub and what history Burgh Island has. A must visit for anybody in Devon!

Well worth a visit, the walk up the island is good and the beach is fabulous. Toilets and a cafe and shop, and for the very wealthy, a hotel!!

Walk Bigbury to Bantham - just beautiful, gaze out at Burgh Island, spooky or heavenly - depending on your perception. Busy - even in Feb with surfers & paddle boarders. open, clean toilets, nice little cafe, with delicious pasties

Thank sue c
