I love coming here when visiting. The exterior does not do justice to the interior. This is a beautiful church inside with a most stunning alter and stained glass windows.

Nice to find a church still keeping up a choral tradition - sung evensong on a Sunday. This church is apparently in the Guinness Book of records for being the closest to a pub - arms length at ground level, and nearer from gargoyle to pub wall!

I came here twice, the first time to have a look around. The church is small, so is a quick visit. The stained glass is relatively modern and I think the best feature of the church. There are some interesting wall monuments. Outside there are a couple of plaques. This church is so close to the pub next door, I could almost touch the walls of both buildings at once. The second visit was for Sunday Evensong which, to my surprise, was a sung service as I wasn't expecting a choir in such a small town. They sang standard repertoire SATB which was pleasing. I would have liked to have heard more of the organ, though.

As the Town Church was on a well used route from our hotel to the bus terminus, we just had to visit. It is a very pleasant parish church in the town centre and has clearly been an important historic location locally. It is welcoming and well maintained. It is worth popping into. It is near the port and many local amenities
