We visited Ben's shop on our first afternoon after reading online how good his chocolates were. We were not disappointed. We bought a box of 16 chocolates which we chose ourselves. There were some very unusual flavour combinations which were out of this world. There is one called the Thailand that my wife had she said it was the best chocolate she had ever eaten, and she has eaten some chocolate!!!! My favourite was the Lemon Verbena. We ate this box over the next few days and had to go back on our last day to buy another to take home.
A must visit for chocolate lovers...

Outstanding chocolates. All the many different flavours are original and delicious but you quickly acquire favourites. The elegant mixed boxes in their chic packaging make excellent gifts but the ability to buy the ones you want is the real win. Ben is pursuing his passion to the benefit of us all on Guernsey

I stopped on this island during a cruise. This shop was recommended by another passenger. It is not the first chocolate shop as you enter the village but the second one. It is very small and Ben makes everything on premises. He is most personable and will gladly talk to you about the art of making chocolate. And I truly mean this man is an artist; not only in the design of his chocolates but the combination of ingredients. In fact, I believe his quest is to make the perfect chocolate yet he knows it is unattainable. Visiting his shop is like a chocolate pilgrimage. He was going to the UK for a three day vacation and was stopping by a famed chocolate chef to pick up a few tips.
I have sampled chocolates from all over the world and Ben's creations are the best I ever had. If you are ever in St Peter's Port stop by, say hello to Ben, and sample heaven!

Visited this chocolatier, not sure if it was the owner I spoke with but it matters not as the individual was abrupt at best at worst personally offensive. Nice chocolates shame about the person behind the counter.

I like to support local producers where possible, Ben makes all his chocolates on site; the only downside it when you choose your chocolate box you don't know what your getting until you open it.
I bought a green box and asked how do you know what chocolates are inside, and Ben explained that each box has a product description inside, it is only a shame it is a plan white box on the outside.
I was expecting a bit more then chocolates in this shop, I don't think I will be returning again

We were in Guernsey for a day, walking around St. Peter Port when we stumbled across this little gem of a chocolate shop.
The pralines are hand painted individually by the chocolatier and you can taste some samples of the chocolate bars and other types.
We bought the 100% cacao bar that didn’t taste too bitter and the orange peel covered in chocolate which was the best we have ever tasted!
They have high quality chocolates with very reasonable prices. So, if you are a chocolate lover and are in Guernsey do not miss this shop.

Our guide brought us here at my request. Very hospitable people. The flavors are very interesting. Chocolate is very good. Truffles tasty but not the best I have had. I think the covered fruits and nuts are their best specialty. They were very generous with the samples. Well worth trying but a bit off the beaten path.

When visiting St Peter Port's old quarter, I went up past the market into Mill Street and it was well worth the effort as I found Ben Le Prevost Chocolatier! At first I didn't think I could afford such luxury, so I went in just to buy a present for a friend who loves all things made locally. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that not only are these chocolates delicious (I tasted a banana & cinnamon one which was great on flavour and texture), they're also affordable and have stylish contemporary packaging. Ben explained how he makes his chocolates with fresh Guernsey cream and often locally produced ingredients - which can vary from rosemary to marmite via Herm honey and pink champagne! He was very patient with my dithering over what to choose, and his passion for his product really shone through. I think you can buy them online, but visiting the shop really adds to the whole St Peter Port experience. Can't wait for my next box of chocolates!

Based upon a recommendation from another shop in the town, we made the short walk up to Ben's shop. We are so glad that we did. Ben was so very friendly and took a break from his work to talk with us for a fairly long time at the tail end of what was a busy afternoon with a cruise ship visiting. If you have the opportunity, ask him about his bicycle trip across the States and his encounters with wildlife :) He was one of the top highlights of our recent visit to the British Isles. Oh, yeah, and his chocolates are amazing!
