About Guernsey Town Walks
The ‘jewel in the crown’ of Guernsey is St Peter Port: a photogenic town with as colourful a history as anyone could imagine. It cries out to be ‘explored’. The daily walks will take different routes most days to discover it's fascinating history. Tales of bravery, ingenuity and resourcefulness abound. St Peter Port is Guernsey's capital and has a rich and interesting history from Roman times, smuggling and privateering to occupation by Germany in WWII. The guided walks are daily at 10.30am, also Tuesdays & Thursdays at 2.30 pm. Walks last approx. 1½ hours and start from the Guernsey Information Centre. Please note there are some hills and steps on most walks. Come rain or shine, no booking required but send any enquiries to the email address. Accredited Guernsey Guides on every walk.

Obviously, the quality of a walking tour depends on the specific guide. Unfortunately, our guide was difficult to hear, did not know how to use the headphone device, and was not as informative or entertaining as we have come to expect from walking tours elsewhere....More

Visit here to see the the only part of the British Commonwealth that was occupied by the German army in WWII. Guernsey was under German control for over five years. Visit the castle.

Really enjoyed our walk with Susie. Have been to the island many many times and know St. Peter’s Port reasonably well. However, learning about the history was really interesting and gave us a better idea of how the port has developed to what we see...More
