We did not enter the house as it was a lovely day and spent time around the unique gardens. We did the tropical garden walk which was an amazing use of plant space with the added surprise of it also being a sculpture tour - of all varieties. Would definitely take this trail again. The old green house leanto which... More

Sausmarez Manor is one of the oldest and grandest manors of Guernsey. To maintain the manor there are o lot of seasonal activities, but we did the Ghost Tour on a Thursdaynight. The tour is led by the Seigneur of the Manor himself: Peter de Sausmarez. He is very funny (in a typically dry way) and walks you through the... More

This venue in St. Martins hosts regular Saturday Farmer's markets, weddings, sculpture shows, and has a tea room, a model boating lake, a miniature railway and other attractions for the holiday-maker who is tired of the bustle of St. Peter Port. We tried the tea room and I disgraced myself by dropping and breaking a glass, but the gentleman behind... More

The house itself is accessed only by guided tours several times a day. The family still live in the house and therefore only some of the rooms are accessible however the guided tour is very factually interesting and explains a lot about the history of the family. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting to listen to and happy to answer... More

A beautiful property set in acres of garden. The gardens are worth a visit although we had to curtail our time there because it began to rain. The house is well presented and the museum gives a realistic view of life in Guernsey in the past. The doll's house in particular is worthy of a mention? We also had lunch... More

This place is a living museum and a place of interest for the young and old alike. From a short golf course to a sub tropical garden to a train ride to a Saturday Farmers Market, it is all here. We thought the tour of the Sub Tropical Garden was a bit over priced although very interesting. The copper smith... More

Enjoyable hour or so doing 9 holes. The course is interesting and goes up and down the slopes as well as along and is very well kept. It's not very well advertised in the tourist information and is easy to miss.

We visited Sausmarez Manor as one of the recommended "must see" gardens of the Channel Islands and were certainly not disappointed. The verdance of its eclectic mix of temperate and sub-tropical plantings - every thing from palm trees to camellias, comes as a total surprise in this setting for parkland an an historic manor house. The sculpture collection was an... More

Visited this mansion in mid-May of 2016. Even though it was a rainy day, it was interesting and enjoyable. Descendents of the original owners still live there. House has had many additions over the years. No electricity or indoor plumbing was added until after WWii. This prevented the Germans from occupying this mansion and thus it was saved. Great tour... Visited here thinking it would be a great place. Really disappointed with the whole place. It felt slightly sad and uncared for. Didn't like the sculptures, the gift shop was disappointing and the coppersmith wasn't working. Sorry about this.
