Lovely Saturday market............

An interesting spot, good cafe but especially good is the weekly Saturday market. Good range of local produce and some crafts as well, definitely worth a visit!

The manor gardens are free to enter but the entrance fee to go round the sub-tropical art trail is well worth it. There is a huge variety of sculptures on show amongst the tropical plants. The trail goes around a lake that as well as ducks and ducklings also features terrapins sunning themselves. On Saturdays there is a very good... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, great listening to the tails of the Manors ghosts. Plus a lovely tour and history of the house.

By the time we'd worked out which bus to catch, we'd missed the one tour of the day. One tour! I know it wasn't quite in the tourist season yet, but this set the tone for our visit. We visited the shop to enquire, to be told 'I don't know' to our questions. So we didn't bother paying for the... More

Very disappointing visit. Cafe clean and pleasant looking but some confusion over what constitutes cheese and biscuits (microwaved, rubbery scone and tiny pot of Philadelphia). Sculpture trail expensive and not worth a visit. Grounds tired looking. Unfortunately not tecommended.

Went round the sculpture trail in the gardens, not the house. It was poor. The trail was laid out ok & the gardens are quite nice, but some of the sculptures were horrible. None of them were to our taste. It was an expensive half hour of wondering about looking at unpleasant things.

So glad we picked a tour of this manor as part of our Guernsey tour because the history of this place, as well as the histories of the families who owned & occupied it are quite fascinating. The exterior may look plain, but the interiors are furnished as if living in the 18th & 19th centuries. The only drawback was... More

Having lived in Guernsey some 18 years now, I had visited Sausmarez Park several times but had never been to Sausmarez Manor before. I've had the pleasure of meeting the Seigneur (Peter De Sausmarez) on other occasions but do not know him personally although, having listened to his stories as he walked us around the Manor and gave us a... The ghost tour with the master of the house was very interesting. No ghosts but the stories were excellent.

There are a number of events going on at the manor throughout the year. This review is in relation to the "Ghost Tour" which I attended with a group of friends in early December. The tour is held in the evenings and was run by the Seigneur himself. When booking, the Seigneur, Peter de Sausmarez couldn't have been more helpful... More
