About
As the name suggests we are principally Cider Producers. Our range consists of draught cider, 2 different strength bottled ciders and a range of 6 bag-in-box still ciders. We also produce fruit liqueurs, 2 apple chutneys and apple juice. In recent years we have built an off-shoot doing tasting tours for local sports and social clubs and cruise ship passengers visiting the island. We are expanding this side of the business this year to encourage more holidaymakers to come and visit us. The latest addition to our product list is Cider Brandy. We purchased a still last year (2018) and we produced our first batch in January 2019. The maturation process takes 3 years but it will be well worth the wait.

A very enjoyable outing with our friends from Cornwall.
A lovely thing to do on a dry, sunny, albeit chilly evening. Our guide John was very informative & extremely funny! It was just the right amount of time devoted to the tour & tasting afterwards. Some of the apple trees were in blossom & looked stunning. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful just listening the birds. We all enjoyed tasting the apple juice, cider & liquers afterwards with cheese, chutney & biscuits. We bought a bottle of apple brandy to taste at home which was delicious. Just two tips; It would have been nice to have known what the cheeses were & wether or not they were local. Also perhaps temporary signage at the junction with the main road would help visitors find the farm. A wonderful outing!
Many thanks for your kind words. Noted on the cheeses. They are all locally made so worth a mention your right. The signage is a tricky one. Generaly we discourage callers to the farm because we don't have a shop and we are a working farm. The only way to visit the farm is on a tour as you did. Hopefully this makes the experience even more special ;)

Brilliant Tour of Rocquette Cider Orchard
John was our guide and he was excellent - very informative about the whole process from growing the first apples to drinking the cider yet he kept it interesting and fun. There were a few children with the tour and he also involved them in the tour. After the tour, there was plenty of time to sample the different cider varieties and some tasty cheeses to help it go down. We had been on the tour previously and would definitely come again when we are in Guernsey next year.
We love it that you came back to visit us and look forward to seeing you again next year!

Excellent and interesting tour together with delicious tastings.
Our guide was full of enthusiasm and humourous which made for a very interesting tour. The tastings were delicious and plentiful. Our only criticism is that the diversion signs, in respect of the roadworks currently underway in the area, whilst mentioning the Fauxquet campsite, did not show the Rocquette cider tour. This meant that we had a lengthy diversion and arrived shortly after the tour had started. We suggest that the tour is added to the diversion boards.
Thank you for your kind review and points about directions which has been said before as we can be a bit challenging to find. Our dilemma is that you can only vist the farm as part of a tour and we are concerned that if we put up directions to the cider farm that "everyone" will follow them. Still not sure what the best thing to do is?

    Very enjoyable tour
With family and friends we set out on the cider farm tour with our guide John who communicated cider making facts to us with great humour. All of our group found the visit very entertaining and of course enjoyed the cider tasting with biscuits and cheese. My favourite was the rhubarb cider along with the berry gin that we also sampled.
Thank you Susie for your review and pleased that you enjoyed our new cider!

Great experience we it’s great tour guide
Went with family (adults) and had an amazing evening. Our guide John was excellent. Very knowledgeable and a great host to our tour group. The property/orchard itself is lovely and the great weather made it even better as the tour includes a little gentle walking around the property. The tasting part was excellent with ample opportunity to taste the cider, Cheeses, liquors and chutney, all of which are of fantastic quality. This is our second tour and we once again came away with our arms full of produce. Throughly recommended.

Cider Farm in the heart of Guernsey
We had an amazing experience. Our guide John made it a lot of fun to listen to the farms history and working methods. at the cider tasting after the tour we tried loads of different tastes and bought some to bring home to our families. An absolut go-to place. We’d always do the tour again.

Great tour.. and delicious too !!
Great tour and the guide was very knowledgeable and walked at a comfortable pace. The sampling of cider variations, apple juice, chutney and local cheeses also went down very well... with other options of gin and vodka and merchandise. Highly recommended!

    Yes and yes
I am an absolute cider fan and wanted to do the tour, but we didn't book one as we didn't know if the timing biking the island would work out. We arrived there at 15.01, the tour starting officially at 15.00, and we could still join! Thank you :-) The tour was very interesting and the guide very lively and fun to listen to. Then the tasting of different ciders accompanied by crackers and cheese. That was my kind of afternoon.

Great way to spend the evening!
Andy was great, really informative and passionate, friendly and fun. Got into the technology and history in a clear way and it wasn't far to walk, which was perfect for my wife, loved it and will no doubt take friends and family in the future. Thank-you so much! Well worth the visit!

I organised a tour of Rocquettes Cider for our sports and social club at work. I had never been before but had heard lots of good things and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Craig the tour guide was very knowledgeable and his amazing sense of humour had us laughing all the way round. Topped off with the delicious cider and cheese tasting if you haven’t been yet I can certainly recommend it. We’ll definitely be going back!

I enjoyed this tour. The orchard was lovely and it was really interesting to hear about the history of the orchard and of the cider making process. I also enjoyed the chance to sample cider and other products at the end. The tour was quite brief and I did think that ÂŁ22 per person a bit expensive for what it was. Craig the tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining.

From the first contact with Craig via email he was informative and efficient. We went on the tour as an event for our work sports & social club and it was a very enjoyable evening from start to finish. A few members had not realised the scope of the farm so it was great for them to see the land as well as the cider making process. Plus it was important for us to support local businesses. The sun came out for us after a rainy start to the day and it was great to enjoy the sunshine on the interesting tour with Craig who was relaxed and entertaining. The tasting session at the end of the tour was fantastic and a great opportunity to sample the perhaps not so well known flavours of the classic Rocquette cider as well as cheeses and the homemade chutneys. The flavoured liqueurs went down a treat as well and many of us stumbled up the path on our way home with the treats that we had purchased. Would highly recommend!

We spent an enjoyable hour and a half at the Rocquettes Cider Orchard Tour on Saturday morning. The weather was dry & sunny, the orchards and farm are stunning and it felt very much as though we were in rural upmarket France.
Craig was full of stories and knowledgeable about the apple trees and the processes involved in producing Cider.
The tour was concluded in a bar in a barn with free tasting’s of the traditional Cider as well as cloudy still versions (Scally Wag was my favourite) and flavoured liquors together with a selection of Guernsey cheeses and cheese biscuits, it was really rather good and I have found some new cheeses to buy to add to my future cheese boards.
All in all, a great way to learn a little bit about our fantastic Island home, enjoy the stunning location, and enjoy some excellent local cider and nibbles.
We loved it so much, we are looking to return again very soon!

That is quite a review Nic666. Many thanks. You seem to have liked everything which we are obviously very pleased about and with such praise you will of course be made very welcome on your return. We hope that as well as finding new cheese for your cheeseboard that you have found a new cider--Scally Wag --for your fridge. All the very best, CraigA

We had the most lovely afternoon with Craig at Rocquettes cider. It was a beautiful day and the tour of the orchard was really interesting, finishing with the most fabulous views of the cider valley and the lake. The tour was good value for money too. After the orchard tour, Craig showed us where everything was and we could then taste what ever we liked. I bought some gorgeous cheese, apple chutney and one of the amazing liqueurs.

A very pleasant experience. Walking around the orchards and lovely grounds was very enjoyable and Ben was an excellent narrator with many amusing anecdotes. I have learnt so much about apples that I never knew before! The tasting and cheese and biscuits at the end was very enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Very entertaining and knowledgeable about his subject our your guide was very good, albeit brief.

The tasting included in the price of ÂŁ22 per head consisted of free sampling of any of the ciders, liqueurs or sauces in the product range. Also there was one local cheese on offer to sample together with crackers.

Personally I thought the price expensive.

I absolutely loved the tour. I arranged it as a sports and social event for my work, there were 8 of us altogether and we were joined by other people too which was nice. The grounds are so beautiful, it was a lovely half an hour learning about the orchard and listening to Craigs funny stories. As a tour guide, he is great, his sense of humour is brilliant.

After the tour, we sampled the cider, cheese and the Merry Berry rum, gin, whiskey and vodka of which I ended up buying one of each because they were so tasty.

A number one recommendation for a sports and social event and something I'd like to treat my family too at some point, I have no doubt they would love it!

A must to see if you come to visit Guernsey!

Many thanks Claire. We would love to see you back at the Orchard with family and friends. And of course keep drinking the Liqueurs which you can purchase online with our new home delivery service. Hope your work colleagues enjoyed it as much as you did and that they come back and see us as well. Best wishes, CraigA

This was a staycation activity with friends and it was fabulous! We had perfect weather to tour the orchards and workshops. We could have been anywhere in the world; what a beautiful setting! Craig’s tour was both interesting and full of humour and it was lovely to be able to spend time chatting over a selection of ciders.
We’re eagerly awaiting our case of Pomme D’or in 2022!

It is very rewarding to know that people enjoy coming to a largely unknown part of Guernsey and that the cider is appreciated as well. All credit to the hard working guys who lovingly produce it. 2022 will arrive very soon and the Pomme D'Or will be fantastic. Many thanks, CraigA
