About
As the name suggests we are principally Cider Producers. Our range consists of draught cider, 2 different strength bottled ciders and a range of 6 bag-in-box still ciders. We also produce 5 fruit liqueurs, 2 apple chutneys and apple juice. In recent years we have built an off-shoot doing tasting tours for local sports and social clubs and cruise ship passengers visiting the island. We are expanding this side of the business this year to encourage more holidaymakers to come and visit us. The latest addition to our product list is Cider Brandy. We purchased a still last year (2018) and we produced our first batch in January 2019. The maturation process takes 3 years but it will be well worth the wait.

The Rocquette’s cider farm tour is an entertaining and enjoyable way to spend an evening, even if our avuncular Scottish host Craig warned at the outset, tongue in cheek, that if we broke the farm rules he had a red card handy and we’d be off the tour. After a gentle ramble through the various orchards, with a briefing on the germination and fruiting calendar of the different breeds of apples, we repaired to the yard for the ‘business end’ of the tour. Here we got a glimpse of the special tank where next April’s batch of Rocquette’s brandy was maturing, with the option to sign up for an advance order. Then Craig began pouring glasses of cider for the guests, which were accompanied by a delicious selection of Guernsey cheeses and apple chutney on biscuits. The more we quaffed, the quicker we devoured the cheeses, but Craig was quite happy to supply more of these on demand. The ciders offered ranged from Rocquette’s regular dry cider to sweeter fruity varieties, and a special treat was to sample the sweet Merry Berry gin liqueur. The whole tour lasted an hour and a half, and gave us a great appreciation of one of the fruits of Guernsey soil.

A very pleasant experience. Walking around the orchards and lovely grounds was very enjoyable and Ben was an excellent narrator with many amusing anecdotes. I have learnt so much about apples that I never knew before! The tasting and cheese and biscuits at the end was very enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Really great tour! This is actually my second time back this month, which shows I'm obviously a big fan.
The tour was very informative with some great one liners added in by our funny tour guide, Craig. You were then able to drink unlimited glasses of cider and shots of berry liqueur, accompanied with locally made cheese, chutney and crackers for about 50 mins.
For £25 this is great value for money and something fun to do with friends, family or work colleagues. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I'll no doubt be back in a few weeks! :)

Excellent tour set in a breathtaking location. A must - do. Craig's informative commentary - delivered with a dry, Scottish wit and charm that would have done the Krankies proud - enhanced an already memorable afternoon. Tip : do not drive ; the finale involving a sampling of the excellent products should not be rushed.

Moore Stephens attended the Rocquette Cider Tour on Saturday 22nd May. Everyone really enjoy the tour from start to finish and Craig is a wonderful host that showed us around. Our company will definitely be booking the tour again and we highly recommend it for anyone looking to have a great time.

I enjoyed this tour. The orchard was lovely and it was really interesting to hear about the history of the orchard and of the cider making process. I also enjoyed the chance to sample cider and other products at the end. The tour was quite brief and I did think that £22 per person a bit expensive for what it was. Craig the tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining.

Very entertaining and knowledgeable about his subject our your guide was very good, albeit brief.

The tasting included in the price of £22 per head consisted of free sampling of any of the ciders, liqueurs or sauces in the product range. Also there was one local cheese on offer to sample together with crackers.

Personally I thought the price expensive.

From the first contact with Craig via email he was informative and efficient. We went on the tour as an event for our work sports & social club and it was a very enjoyable evening from start to finish. A few members had not realised the scope of the farm so it was great for them to see the land as well as the cider making process. Plus it was important for us to support local businesses. The sun came out for us after a rainy start to the day and it was great to enjoy the sunshine on the interesting tour with Craig who was relaxed and entertaining. The tasting session at the end of the tour was fantastic and a great opportunity to sample the perhaps not so well known flavours of the classic Rocquette cider as well as cheeses and the homemade chutneys. The flavoured liqueurs went down a treat as well and many of us stumbled up the path on our way home with the treats that we had purchased. Would highly recommend!

We had the most lovely afternoon with Craig at Rocquettes cider. It was a beautiful day and the tour of the orchard was really interesting, finishing with the most fabulous views of the cider valley and the lake. The tour was good value for money too. After the orchard tour, Craig showed us where everything was and we could then taste what ever we liked. I bought some gorgeous cheese, apple chutney and one of the amazing liqueurs.

I organised a tour of Rocquettes Cider for our sports and social club at work. I had never been before but had heard lots of good things and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Craig the tour guide was very knowledgeable and his amazing sense of humour had us laughing all the way round. Topped off with the delicious cider and cheese tasting if you haven’t been yet I can certainly recommend it. We’ll definitely be going back!
