The market is a nice treat with a good few things to buy and places to eat. Not a big size but there is a good variety of things, and very friendly people to talk to. The building is quaint and covered, in the center there is a water fountain. The place is bright and colorful. The food fruit and veg is very good and reasonably priced, and you can easily miss it. The market is in the center but not easily able to find.

This is a very attractive cast iron, Victorian market hall in the centre of St Helier, full of the usual market stalls selling fruit & veg, flowers, meat and so on, as well as a few specialist stands including a book shop, cafes, a haberdasher and an ironmonger. We visited a few times to pick up breakfast from one of the excellent bakery stalls and enjoyed wandering around admiring the building and the ornate fountain that acts as the hall's centrepiece. There is also a small, separate fish market on the other side of Beresford Street.

The central market was nothing to write home about. It had the usual mixture of stalls, but nothing unusual or special.
