Stunning beach

Stunning beach if the weather is good and the wind is in the right direction. Generally protected from the wind it's a lovely place. Not much by way of amenities but worth a visit... read more

the beach could be lovely but when the tide is out it stinks ( they are waiting for a machine to remove the green algy) there are not any deck chairs when you think a lot of the holiday makers fly in could do more with it , the other bays offer much more so people move out for the... More

One end of the beach is awash with seaweed, worth walking down the other end (about 1mile) to get nice sandy beach away from seaweed. Water clean, beach clean, public toilet facilities average.

This beach is between the St Helier and St Aubin parishes and you will inevitably see it when you visit Jersey. The tidal range is phenomenal and a must see when visiting just to see for yourself how far out it goes and just how quickly. At low tide it is possible to walk out to Elizabeth Castle and if... It's stunning with the tide in or out. Saw racing on the beach on Saturday afternoon- cars, motorbikes and beach buggies. When the tides out it reveals a sea pool which dates back. You can visit the Elizabeth Castle from here too. Beautiful sandy beach.

Unfortunately, St Hellier Beach is suffering from a glut of sea lettuce, which might sound tasty, but in the summer heat, smells revolting. The authorities are trying to rid themselves of this problem, but to little avail as the menace persists. There are many beautiful beaches on Jersey - this is not one of them at present.

Unfortunately they seem to have a seaweed problem and even constantly trying to clean the beach has little effect.

A pleasant stroll over to Elizabeth Castle although beware it can be slippy. At the time of our visit there was a bit of green Algie.

It is unfortunate that at the moment this beach is under attack from a particularly nasty seaweed. However the other beaches, which are spectacular are not having the same problem. Having said that we walked along the beach at low tide from St Helier to St Aubin and it was a very pleasant. A slight whiff in the air from... More

St Helier beach, the promenade, and the town are all a lovely place to spend the day. Plenty of walking, or just sitting & soaking up the view. Great assortment of places to eat. Easy access by bus.

Stunning beach if the weather is good and the wind is in the right direction. Generally protected from the wind it's a lovely place. Not much by way of amenities but worth a visit on a sunny day.
