Would have been nice to see this working, but it looks to have fallen out of use? No signs to say otherwise, or to inform you if it only operates seasonally.....

The Ariadne used to provide a ferry service between the mainland UK and Jersey. Part of the ship is now on display as a steam clock on St Helier quayside outside the Maritime Museum (see separate review). Unfortunately the clock no longer functions, but it makes for a nice photo.

Looks great, but unfortunately was not working. Seems a shame to have such an item set in the middle of a square, with plenty of benches to sit and see it on, set by the central waterfront and not even keeping time. Would have been great to see it in action.

Not being very interested in anything maritime I noticed it out the corner of my eye and had to go see what it is. It is very intriguing and fascinating to look out. Shame it wasn't working but very well looked after. Worth a look.

Interesting is you read the plaques on it. Located right next to Liberation Square. At the moment it is broken with no plans yogic it.

As it was there I had a look. Would not have gone especially to see it. As I am an ex engineer, found it quite interesting.

This larger-than-life clock, according to our tour bus driver, plays ships' bells to the hour. Even though we did not see or hear it running, it was still an interesting thing to look at. It can't be missed, a huge steam engine, sitting just in front of the maritime museum.
