this unusual structure is near liberation square and the marina in St Helier. its based on an old padal steamer. There is a viewing area and seating, where you can have your picnic and view the boats in the marina. walk along the promenade towards the museum.

Worth a look if you are interested in unusual steam contraptions, just a short walk from Liberation Square. Sadly the Steam Clock is not working and the water moat and pond is dry! No admission charge so worth a look to add to your photo collection or selfie album. A beautiful and unusual piece of engineering.

Read about this in a guidebook so I kept half an eye open for it when down the waterfront area. From the guide book it seemed that there should have been steam coming from it, however when I went there was none. Not even sure it was working as it was at least 2 hours slow.

It looks like it should be really interesting as it is quirky. In passing it is something to stop and look at briefly but it's not really an attraction in its own right. Wasn't functional. Not got any information nearby to explain it. Could be much better.

We walked to this display and had a seat on one of the benches. There was not one single tourist or local around except for a half-dozen skateboarders who had more or less claimed the area. The clock did not work, maybe it isn't supposed to mot sure?

Looks quirky. Would have been interesting if steam was hissing out of it and it was actually telling the time. But it appeared not to be functional

Basically part of a paddle boat built into the footpath, with a none functional clock. If in the area worth a look but not really worth going out of your way to see.

Water drained, clock ceased working, a relic of times past. Looks like it will never run again as argument over maintenance contract.

There was no information available in the square surrounding the steam clock - and it did not work. More info please.

If you are in St Heller pop round and have a look, never seen one like this before. This is a free attraction and as Jersey is quite expensive I would try this.
