Elizabeth castle is well worth a visit, with atmosphere and views to die for! We opted for the amphibian duck boat trip out and back, especially as the tide was in on the return! The cafe in the castle was good value for money as...More

An ad-hoc visit but really glad we did! Recently stayed in Jersey for 4 days and I think this was my favourite attraction we visited (also visited the Fort, Zoo, War Tunnels and Vineyard). Went for a walk one morning and the tide was out...More

Enjoyed Elizabeth Castle so much visited twice. Extremely interesting as well as being a beautiful location with fantastic views over the harbour. Volunteers and staff very friendly and informative, even the very strict Master Gunner! Enjoyed the talk and interactive firing of the cannon. Don't...More

Thank you for your review and your visit to the castle. We are so pleased you bought the Heritage Pass and made good use of it too.

Lovely place for a day trip. Walking across (there or back) is possible depending on the tides (you can get a file of times of low tide from Jersey Heritage website). Otherwise take the 'Duck' boat. There's lots to see in the castle itself from...More

The castle is definitely worth a visit, as the sea was in we used the 'boat' to get there which was very enjoyable. Fantastic views from the top. At midday an elderly man dressed in period costume came out to tell about the history of...More

Yes, you can walk to the castle however you can’t actually go in the castle. I think it’s not necessarily worth the trip without the full visit. You could try searching Gorey Castle, which is a castle on the east side of... More

As far as I know. There is a good coffee shop there and certainly plenty of space. Worth contacting the attraction direct to be sure. Enjoy.
