- Michael CLondon, United Kingdom398 contributionsStunning. It there a better beach anywhere in the British Isles?Absolutely fabulous. Wide sandy beach with easy access and a good supply of cafes, eateries, toilets, hotels and a couple of small convenience stores. The beach has safety patrols and, in good weather, the warm water is enticing. The bay sweeps between two headlands and, at low tide, allows water level access, with care, to the next bay. There is direct bus access from St Helier.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 26, 2023
- Sam3314Derby, United Kingdom2,087 contributionsWonderful sandy beachGlorious long sandy beach and promenade. Enjoy a walk along the sand or play on the beach. There are toys available to borrow from the promenade. Take a walk in the past by visiting the sanctuary pathVisited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 7, 2024
- Richard H27 contributionsLovely beach, sunnyside deckchairs are however ignorant swinesThis is a wonderful beach my wife and I have holidayed many times. My complaint is regarding the ignorant company who hire deckchairs on the beach called Sunnyside deckchairs. Our friend Monica was with us for the day and hired a sun bed and wind break. At 1pm our friend left the beach for lunch and a trip to st helier, leaving the wind break and sun bed to my wife. Immediately a scantily clad women in a barely appropriate bikini was wafting a card machine in my wife's face demanding further payment of £12 for equipment already hired. To our total astonishment after we pointed out chairs are not hired to ppl she still literally ripped the wind break out of the ground and practically pushed my wife off the sunbed. It is astonishing and regrettable that St Brelade bay has such a parasitic and grasping company on it's beautiful beach.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 30, 2024

- Valerie L11 contributionsA gem of a hotel where you will be so welcomed. A step to the sandy beach and beautiful bayThis hotel is situated in the idyllic bay . We booked a sea view room which is perfect - a picture postcard view of the sandy beach and listening to the lapping waves . The rooms are clean , comfortable and have everything you need . The food is delicious and most importantly the whole staff team cannot do enough for you . They are so friendly and welcoming.service goes above and beyond without being intrusive. A special mention to Anthony on reception for his friendly advice and chats . However all the staff team were exceptional and we have never felt so welcome anywhere . An amazing stay . Would highly recommend.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 9, 2024
- Bizzybee44 contributionsBeautiful beachThis is a lovely sandy beach. There were lots of places to eat alongside the beach and a shop to buy a bucket and spade. There were some nice gardens close to the beach. St Brelades church is very interesting and worth going inside. We combined this with a visit to Jersey Lavender and walked between the two, glad we went to the beach last as we walked downhill!!Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 24, 2024

This is a very popular beach that has a lot of hotels flanking it. Clean and sandy with plenty of space even when busy. You have to pay for car parking across the road......but if you are willing to walk there is a lovely shady car park behind the church at the far end and you give a donation which goes to the community not the tax system

Stunning expansive beach at low tide, when you can walk round the rocks to the next beach along which is backed by a nature reserve and a car park with a beachy cafe where we bought a chilled tinny of wine to drink on the beach before walking back to St Brelade through the pine woods. Visiting in June after the school holidays, the beach was quiet and perfect for strolling. There are restaurants and cafes along the esplanade, and a lovely garden. If you feel more adventurous, have a walk in the Winston Churchill park through the main car park - it’s more like an arboretum with pines, hillside walks , a rocky waterfall and stunning views.

This beach was stunning. It is very wide and when the tide goes out (which is a long way) it is very long. The sand is beautiful. Unfortunately we went in February so were unable to lay out on it in the sunshine! but we went for a walk on it and it was gorgeous. In the summer I imagine it would get packed but there would be plenty of room for everyone. There were people swimming in the sea and surfing but obviously they had wet suits on, but we did see a couple for the local swimming club in there with just swimming costumes on!! A but too cold for us!

Large beach with lifeguards, paddleboards, kayaks and other fun things. There are toilets and restaurants near buy but beware the seagulls!!! They will rob you if you aren't watching and even if you are.
One thing that takes time to accept is you can leave you bags and valuables under your towel and they are safe, honestly 99.99% of the time your belongings are safe which can help as when the tide is out it can be a walk to the water but get a paddleboard and have some fun.
PS it's also the place to be seen for the Jersey guys and girls.

July weather was fantastic to go there! Sun beds and umbrellas were very cheap to rent for a day. Peaceful place even in July! Also, there is a very nice cafe where you can buy tea/coffe/ice-cream etc. Lovely place!

This is quite simply a beautiful and stunning beach. We were fortunate to spend a very warm late morning and early afternoon on this beach.
It is so attractive and inviting and lives up to the ore than 2000 reviews rating this beach as either "Very Good" or "Excellent". For those 27 who visited and reviewed as "Average" or less, I wonder what expectations you have and what hand of cards you are dealt with on a regular basis.
It is, like the vast majority of beaches on Jersey, incredibly clean and tidy. It is a highly recommended visit for anyone going to Jersey.

I popped to this beach whilst in Jersey via the bus, numbers 13a or 14 from St Helier, and the bus also passes through St Aubin’s. The tide was going out today so the dry sand and sun beds were a long waG from the sea.
There was a lifeguard on duty. It was very busy and I couldn’t get a sun bed. It didn’t quieten down a little later on, after 2pm ish.
Lovely beach with beautiful bay views.
There are orients, showers, restaurants, cafes and a little shop for bottled drinks, souvenirs etc.

We got a liberty bus from outside our hotel in St Helier and it takes around half hour to get to St Brelades beach. The beach itself is immaculate with lots of restaurants and cafe's to get something to eat or drink. We hired a couple of sun lounger and wind break for £13 a day. The bus runs every 15 to 20 mins and the stop is right opposite the beach. Would recommend plus there are lots of water sports if you need some excitement.

One of the best beaches in Jersey! There are lots of people and families there if you love a busy atmosphere, but not too crowded or noisy. The beach is very big, with nice soft sand (no pebbles!), and no disgusting seaweed at all! The waves are just high enough for a mild swim. Another advantage is that it faces the south, so even in the late afternoon it will be covered by the sun (if it is sunny).
Little shops nearby sell delicious and reasonably priced ice cream and beach equipment, ideal for families!
Will recommend to bring towel/mat to sit on for a visit.

Is there a local bus that runs from the airport to St Brelades Bay on a Su day
Written October 16, 2018

Are there any beach umbrellas that you can hire? I have seen that sun beds are available and i was wondering if they offer umbrellas as well. Thank you

All beach facilities food products etc are available at the Beach Cafe and also on the actual promenade from St Brelades to Quaisne Bay.
End of July normally excellent weather looping slowly into Autumn, for me the best time of the season, with fewer visitors and considerably less traffic on the roads.
Coach & bus services provide daily service to St Brelade's Bay

What's the weather like end of July early August please. Have not visited before.
Written April 10, 2018
Should be very good, but check the forecast first though 😊
Sea temperature should have risen to 18-20*C.
Weever fish can be around so always wear thin swimming slipp on shoes.
Try to time your arrival so that high tide is in the afternoon as the sea comes in over the hot sand and this is lovely and the best time to be there.
Hope you have a great time.

When is the best time of year to visit. June or september?
Written September 19, 2017
Both are good, on balance I’d go with September - we do tend to get decent weather at this time of year

Are there still Trampolines on St Brelade's beach - there were when I was a child but that was a good few years now 😂?
Written August 2, 2017
I believe the jet-ski's I have seen zipping about in St Brelade's Bay ar privately owned. There are jet skis available for hire in St Aubin's bay further east.

Is there anywhere in Jersey where you can day hire a beach hut / lodge ?
Written May 14, 2015
I'm afraid I don't know, but go to "Visit Jersey" online, and there are contact details for the tourist board. Someone there might be able to give you an answer.
