About
The Royal Jersey Golf Club has been part of island life for over 140 years sitting on 74 acres of land. The 18 hole par 70 for white and yellows, a par 71 for reds measuring 6177 yards from the white tees including five par 3's. A challenge for golfers of all age and ability with a sea breeze. We are predominantly a walking golf course and therefore have limited access of buggies. Our well stocked professional shop can however offer trollies for rental. Due to licensing laws in Jersey the clubhouse is only open to members, members guests and those who have paid a greenfee for the day.

The golf was v good and the experience really quite poor. Before we started i was told that i couldn't play with grey socks and they had tio be white. This didn't apply to women so i swapped my grey socks with her white ones. That must have made all the difference to the success of this club. IMO white socks look cheap and chavvy unless you are wearing white golf shoes. When we finished we were hoping for a leisurely lunch but my attire wasn't good enough for that because i was wearing sandals. So was my wife and that was ok. The restaurant was virtually empty so clearly they are a real success. This very old fasioned, judgemental and discriminatory behaviour is the very thing that is stifling the future of golf.

A round at Royal Jersey is a treat and definitely in my Top 5 course I have ever played. If not the sheer beauty of the surroundings, the design is simplistic yet brutal if your decide to wonder from the safety of the fairways. Added to this it’s history is right up there, with a fort situated in the middle of the course and German gun placements running the length of the 1st hole. Do yourself a favor, don’t miss this brilliant golf course.

Had a brilliant afternoon at Royal Jersey with my 11 year old son. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, we're allowed to tee off early and pay afterwards. Course was a great test, daunting first tee shot and testing greens all the way round. All in all it was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Flew to Jersey from Guernsey to attend a family wedding anniversary at the Royal JGC.
Everything about our lunch was perfect from the choice of menu, the way it was cooked and the way it was presented. A big thank you firstly for the invite and secondly to the staff who looked after us so well.
Best wishes,
Craig and June.
