What a treasure!! I've lived in the area all my life and didn't know this hidden treasure existed. The animals were happy and well taken care of. The zoo was unbelievably clean. The employees were so friendly. A great place to spend the afternoon with friends or family - wonderful for all ages. A must see when visiting east Tennessee.

This is a small, family owned zoo, but probably one of the nicest zoo's we have ever visited. We saw everything and even fed the giraffes in a 2 hour visit. The animal enclosures were all clean and well maintained. The giraffe keeper was very knowledgeable and friendly, she seemed genuinely excited to teach us about the giraffes. It would be perfect for a family with young kids, but my teenager had a great time too. Glad we found this little gem!

This zoo is not huge but it is very nice. It is very clean and the animals are easily visible. The bird and giraffe encounters are reasonably priced and pretty neat. The staff is friendly and the snack bar is reasonably priced.

My 15 year old daughter and I visited here on a cool, cloudy day in October, and had a great time. Some of these small zoos can be a little rundown and dirty, but I was impressed with the cleanliness of this particular one. We spoke to several of the staff, all of whom were friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the animals. We particularly enjoyed the capybara and the giraffe exhibits. The food was decent and the gift shop reasonably priced. There is a good bit of walking, but the paths are smooth and pretty level, so I expect a wheelchair could probably go over most of it. Just a note, as you travel along the highway, keep close watch or you'll miss the entrance. We would go back again if in the area.
