Please please please visit, we had so much find with the group and our chef teachers, easy to follow but gorgeous food produced and we got to ear it all as well, cannot recommend enough. Catherine Fulvio is a truly gifted chef with a wicked funny streak to her you will love every second of any course here.

We had a meal here as part of a large group. Because it's a cookery school we expected well-cooked food but that's not what we got. Nor did we get what was listed on the menu at each table. The soup was artistic but just lukewarm. The chicken was wrapped in thick fatty bacon which hadn't been fried off. It... More

First, TripAdvisor, please list this under Wicklow and especially thing to do outside Dublin. It's well worth the drive. We had a very large group of over 350 people go here in April for lunch and activities. Catherine Fulvio was a perfect host. Her staff was awesome too. The food (for 350!) was some of the best we had while... More

Went to Ballyknocken House for a Saturday cookery course and b&b. Two sisters, their 2 nieces and their 2 13 yr old daughters. It was the Head Chef, Junior Chef course. The course was fantastic with everyday recipes and chef Danny was brilliant. He gave great tips to the juniors. Catherine came to see how they were getting on and... More

Got the gift of a Saturday morning cookery course. Really enjoyed it. At first was disappointed that Catherine herself wasn't giving the course, but Patrick was equally as good. Thanks so much for the interest you showed during the course of the few hours Patrick. You are clearly passionate about cooking and this influences everyone in the group. Learned some... More

Just before I start my review just a quick note for people so they don't make the same mistake as me. When you put Ballyknock into google maps the autofill will bring up Ballyknockan, Co Wicklow as the first search option. I selected this which brought me to a different place entirely on the other side of the Wicklow mountains... More

Excellent experience, informative and fun. Catherine's personality is warm and friendly just like the surroundings of the old house. Highly recommend. (We did the 'Bake it don't buy it' class on a Sat afternoon btw!)

It was an enjoyable experience. We had a lot of fun watching the guys in our group making scones. The best of all....we got to eat the scones.

We came on a bus with about 48 people from a cruise ship. Catherine still managed to make us feel like we were friends visiting her in her home and not hordes taking over her cookery school. Catherine was personable and friendly. Two volunteers got to bake scones alongside Catherine (with one of Catherine's assistants helping out). They made savory... More
