I reviewed this bookshop in 2016 and have bought all sorts of stuff from John in the intervening years and it is still the mark of excellence. Recently I wanted to collect some first edition childrens books for my grandchildren and he got me (close...More

The Zozimus bookshop, tucked in behind the Book Shop Cafe on Gorey's Main Sreet, is a real find. A small maze of floor to ceiling bookshelves constitutes an Aladdin's Cave for bilbiophiles. Nearly all second-hand, the books range from rare first editions and other collectibles...More

Busy spot bang in the middle of Gorey's Main Street. Feels a bit busy and cluttered but food is excellent. Had breakfast which was cooked to perfection and excellent value. Could become a regular!

To be honest: I would never have found Zozimus if my 93 year old mother had not stuck to her guns. She was sure a friend of a friend had recommended this place. And she was right: the restaurant was packed with people. And my...More

This is a review in two parts. The bookshop, which occupies the back half of the large ground floor, is of top quality. John, the owner, has been in the book trade for years and it shows. The titles on his shelves are top rate...More
