This is a historic well situated on the outskirts of Ferns. It is very pretty and is best enjoyed on a sunny day.

It isnt a landmark as such, but simply a partway leading down from the main N11 Road through ferns. It is tiny and not much to see. But so many people stop by to fill up large drums of water from here. Horses for courses.

Nice surprising attraction, a bit of history, faith and fun. St Aidan's holly water supposed to have healing properties - we'll see :-)

This and the church are hidden gems. As most people, will spend all there time at Ferns Castle. After looking at Ferns we had a walk through town and stumbled on these two very worth while attractions. We walked around the site, read the information...More
