We stopped in to Castletown House on a recent place- the staff members who showed up around were terrific. They are working on improvements - the grounds are lovely and we really enjoyed the Picasso photographic Exhibit.

Castletown House is a great location for a visit. As well as the amazing historic house, you can walk or cycle the beautiful grounds. A real oasis where you can sit by the liffey and watch the world go by.

Paradise valley by the Liffey in Celbridge. The historic house has many authentic furnishings and the gardens and the liffey by the park is a place to make you forget the city life!

On the grounds you can use a tripod no problem. But if selling the photos or taking Wedding photos for example you need to apply to the OPW for a permit. In the building photos with no flash and no tripod
