Ventry beach: Ceann Trá
First timers here at this Blue Flag beach (Trá le Brat Gorm). It is a semicircular sheltered picturesque sandy family friendly beach in a Gaeltacht area near Dingle with lifeguards on duty in summer months, outdoor Shower, bins and public toilets as well as a caravan holiday park. We secured parking but it was very busy when we were leaving and we noticed an overspill carpark near the road enroute to continue our Slea Head tour. We hit a glorious rare day here (best day of our 2 week stint in Kerry in July and August) which colours positively your view of a beach significantly but my family (husband and 2 kids under age of 5) thoroughly enjoyed their dip, building sandcastles. My husband and I tagteamed so that we could both savour a lone walk on this beautiful beach in the sunshine with views of the Iveragh peninsula and the glistening Atlantic ocean. Would definitely return when in the environs again and a must stop on the Slea Head drive .

We stopped at Ventry Beach for a walk, after setting off on the Slea Head trail. Clean toilets just near the car park. Beautiful views while walking along the beach. Some people were swimming in the sea.
Definitely worth going to if you are in the area.

Spent most of today on Ceann Tra - it was pristine. Crystal clear and clean water; ample parking ; great facilities and special mention to very attentive and friendly lifeguards.

No sign of dog poo / beach was perfect.

This was a special place for the great Paidi O’Se and is close to his home.

Gorgeous sandy beach with very calm, flat and clear water - perfect for swimming and for children. Only one downside: there is a lot of dog poo! We were here for a week and have seen a lot of people not clean up after their dogs. This is very surprising for a blue flag beach.

Lovely days spent on this lovely beach. It has a long stretch so everyone can spread out and enjoy their own space. Water was calm and the place is pristine.

We stopped off on a trip around Slea Head, mainly due to Christy Moore’s song about the place! It’s a lovely beach, good parking for a campervan, Jelly fish were in unfortunately but we still enjoyed its beauty.

Just outside Dingle on way to Dingle's west coast is a small beach you can stop at that is worth a short diversion. Some good views and some nice beach strolling.

Ventry Beach is located in Dingle Península, in Western Ireland. It is a sandy beach, from where you can see very nice views of the coast and the sea. Also, you can walk on sand and see very nice ephemeral formations of the water on sand. A very nice place to come with children, relax and bathe and sunbathe on a sunny day.

The closest beach to our Airbnb and blue flagged so we thought it would be perfect for the kids. How wrong we were, the amount of dog poo all along the beach was a disgrace. Add to that all the horse poo as well and it made for a pretty awful experience.

During the summer months at least, Ventry beach should be dog and horse free.

On top of that, and I appreciate nothing can be done about this, is the amount of seeweed and jelly fish on the shore line and in the water.

So disappointing.
