We had a wonderful time touring around with a jarvey, at the Aran Islands. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Just make sure you dress warm. We were there in late September and the ocean winds made it a bit too cold. Even thou they...More

Thomas is a very sweet, kind, humorous, patient, and gracious man. His horses, Johnny and Clyde are his perfect companions. From the moment of booking, this tour was professional and prompt. He is very accommodating to his guests! We visited Ireland during their heat wave...More

I would recommend this to anyone. Thomas made our day so wonderful on the island. He stopped every time we asked him to with a smile on his face. He even called to see if we could get on a later boat.

In early September, the two of us along with five other unrelated tourists had the misfortune of taking this tour. The problems: 1) thomas hurries you into carriage wagon yet provides no summary of what you'll be seeing during the four hour tour. 2) Thomas...More

Aran Islands (Inishmore) - Day Trip or Overnight? (2 Replies)
Hello! Planning our first trip to Ireland in May and would like to fit in a visit to the Aran Islands. Is it possible to just do a day trip or is there a huge benefit to overnight? If overnight, accommodation suggestions? The idea of touring on a pony cart sounds like so much fun...thoughts? (I was looking at the Thomas Faherty Tours website) To combine topics...thoughts on the boat tours of the Cliffs of Moher? Thanks for your help!

IMHO well worth spending the night on any of the Aran Islands....I can tell you from experience that Thomas Faherty is an excellant idea....he is delightful, tells the history along the way, will take pictures for you, stops and lets you have a break so you can wander around the shops and eat lunch....it lasts 3-4 hours and is time well spent.....
