Delightful venue. Great food. Excellent service! We booked upstairs for a business meeting of 5 an hour before they were due to open and we were consistently impressed.
Highly recommend this place on all counts for a great experience with equally impressive views.

Every time I go home I have to return to Joe Mays had some brilliant times here in my youth and the place is still fantastic. A must see and do in Skerries. Loved the trad music on Sunday night.

This is simply lovely. It has a beautiful setting of the sun on its doorstep. The atmosphere is great and everyone comes down. Me and my family are Sunday regulars.

My wife, her sister and I dropped into Joe mays after a meal in the restaurant at the top of the harbour.
We found comfortable seats towards the back of the lounge and had thought to settle in for a food evening.
Sadly, as pleasant as the environment was, the service and attitude of the bartenders was dreadful. I wish I asked for his name, but the slight framed brown haired young bartender who was working in the lounge was awful. A real "this is beneath me" attitude. Not looking customers in the eye when asking what they want, literally yawning in my face as I asked what wine was available. I genuinely can't think of a worse mannered bartender I've come across.
Have a word with this young man. He really let you down.

My daughter had a family birthday get together in Joe Mays upstairs function room on 6th May. It was a perfect evening thanks to Joe Mays who had a huge part in ensuring my daughters milestone birthday was memorable and fun for everybody from old to the young kids.
Skerries harbour view from Joe Mays Function room is beautiful, the room is spacious and accommodates absolutely everything from private bar (if required), music system, private bathrooms, room to dance and comfortable chairs for the older party attendees. The pub downstairs is tranquil and relaxing during the day and on weekend evenings becomes vibrant and sociable. Whilst the downstairs bar is very separate from upstairs function room the staff are still very attentive . The service Joe laid on was top class, the room was freshly cleaned and pristine with wine glasses laid out sparkling and complementary jugs of kids refreshment drinks . I was really surprised with the food, i was expecting typical pub food patters and what we got was top of the range food, fresh chicken croutons , chicken wings in a delicious spicy sauce with garlic dips on the side and potato cubes in a tasty herby marinade, only down side was that I wasn't expecting the food to be so good to advised guest to have dinner and expect finger food so nobody was hungry enough to enjoy this great food and the platters were so generous that we also had lots of leftover. Joe and his staff are exemplary, nothing was a problem and their 'can do' attitude was a breath of fresh air and took all the stress out of organizing a milestone bday where your main aim is a happy birthday and a good time for all the guests who took the time to travel to skerries to share the celebration. Thank you Joe May and your great staff for an excellent venue 10/10, the best!

Visited this pub on St Stephens night. Lovely pub by the sea in Skerries. Excellent location, fabulous atmosphere, nice staff and a great pint. If you are in Skerries make sue you visit and have a fish based meal in its sister pub - Stoop your Head.

We are home from the UK for Christmas and went here after a cold walk. The atmosphere was really good. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hot choclate was tasty. We will be back.

Stopped in for two drinks late one Sunday evening and loved the cosy feel to this place. There was a fire on and a small group of people singing in the back room. Decor, setting, gentle staff and the Guinness made this a place I'd like to go back to.

This place has become my local whenever I am in Skerries which is not as often as i would like. This pub has wonderful polite staff who are always so welcoming and have that typical Irish hospitality that you come to expect when you visit Ireland. To top it all you can sit outside and look over the wonderful harbor and watch the world go by. A definite place to go if you find yourself in Skerries and I cannot wait until I return.

Joe Mays on the harbour is a fantastic pub in Skerries.
The staff are always helpful the service exceptional. A great location for groups and couples alike. When the weather is good its perfect for relaxing on the harbour.
