Fantastic double A baseball, great environment and a great deal for tickets. We went during the buffet night, which happens on select Wednesdays. Came with my in laws, after my wife and I checked this out two years ago.
The food was great and they served it for two hours, from 6pm-8pm. Game time was 7pm. It took us just under an hour to get there from Gatlinburg, and probably 35 minutes on the way home, driving right through Sevierville and Pigeon Forge.
Enjoyable experience for a great value if you can spare a night while visiting the area.
Tennessee Smokies stadium is a beautiful venue, and is kept up nicely.

We are Cubs fans and attend South Bend Cubs games on a regular basis. We wanted to check out our former players. Nice place to visit and watch a game. Reasonable prices! We enjoyed the all you can eat buffet on a Wednesday. Friendly staff that we enjoyed chatting with. Parking was easy and plentiful. The Batters Box Bar and Grill inside the park was nice! A step up from ball park food.

We are from the Cincinnati area, but grew up in the Chicagoland region. We are also lifelong Cubs fans. This year we had planned to visit some of the Cubs minor league ballparks. This was planned before the Cubs totally destroyed the fanbase, but we continued as planned. We had visited the park in Myrtle Beach a couple of years back while on vacation in the area. That was a nice park and we really enjoyed it. In July we spent a few days near the Smokies ballpark and caught two games. What a great time and beautiful park. The hotels are right there and within walking distance, and a couple of restaurants are right there too. We continued recently to South Bend and then on to Des Moines to catch more games, and neither of these parks impressed me at all after our experience in Kodak. If you are looking at a get-a-way for a weekend or visiting the Great Smoky Mountains Park area, don't miss the opportunity to catch a game and enjoy this beautiful park.

I love baseball. And I love the cubs. What a better way to relax than to watch minor league baseball. The beer is cheap, the hot dogs are cheap, great way to spend a summer night

What a great day to spend at a minor league ballpark! Even though it was 91 degrees hot and sunny, was a perfect day for a baseball game. Great teams and good rivalry. Friendly staff and loyal fans made for a wonderful day!

If you are planning a trip to the Pigeon Forge area of Tennessee you should check out the Tennessee Smokies minor league baseball games. The stadium is located just off the interstate about a block from the Bass Pro Shop on the Sevierville side of PF. The tickets are cheap, the seating choices for walk ups excellent, they usually have autograph sessions before the game, some nights have $1.00 hot dogs and lots of giveaways during the games.

If you can get a group, check out their sky boxes as they're a blast. But, be prepared to pay premium prices for the food & drinks, but it's better than your average ballpark/amusement park food and the helpings are large enough to share.

Great minor league ball park. My kids LOVED the kids area. Almost too much; they had no interest in the game after seeing the playground & inflatables. There were clowns, face-painting, and all the fun of a minor league game.

I am the baseball fan in the family, but the whole gang really enjoys the experience. The good tickets are around $9 a person but you can get the cheap grassy field tickets for almost nothing. A couple years ago when my daughter was young and free admission, I use to just by the grass tickets and take a blanket. She wouldnt have stayed still for a seat anyway. And the tickets for the grass is really the only way to catch the homerun balls. Now that my kids are 10 and 14 we actually get the real seats and like to seat behind first base, which is also where the home team dugout is. After the inning, the players always toss the ball over the dugout to a kid. Make sure your child has a glove with them because I would say 30 basballs are either toss out to the crowd or either hit as a foulball. After the game, You can stand outside the locker room and wait for the players to leave. They are amazing and are willing to sign balls or take pictures with you. My daughter has every signatures minus one and its her goal to get that last signature. On Friday nights there is an amazing fireworks show. Check the website before you go and see what other special event might be going on. The managers of the complex are always doing something for the fans. I enjoy seeing these players before they become big names and my family enjoys the fan entertainment and the fun of it all. There is also a playground inside the complex and inflatables and games for the little ones. The concession stand prices arent that bad either. We buy our tickets online and because we know we like to eat a hotdog and get a drink each time, we go ahead and buy meal vouchers online too. It includes a LARGE drink, a hot dog and chips for like $5. The drink alone is $4 at the concession stand. Not a bad deal. Oh yeah, be sure to take a camera and a sharpie if you plan to stay after the game for signatures. They sell out of sharpies at the gift shop pretty early. I think thats all my advice. We love it and encourage everyone to check it out. You just might find that you love it too!

Your either a fan of Minor league baseball or your not. Can’t hold a candle to the excitement of a major league game and at times the play is closer to little league but it’s still an enjoyable way to spend a summer evening

What is included in a meal voucher

I think I finally found the answer ... it explains what is included in the meal voucher.
From the A-Z list about Smokies Stadium:
""Kids Eat Free" Thursdays - All kids 12-and-under with paid admission get a meal voucher, good for a small hot dog, bag of chips and small Pepsi product. One per child and game ticket stub must be presented at time of redeeming for meal voucher."

Plan to see a game with my family including toddler and young child. Originally thought we would sit in family non alcohol section. However after looking up I see it is behind the net. So worried me about the view , taking pictures , and the possible chance of a foul ball (kid has already asked if he could take his glove). So now I am not sure. Would prefer family section but don't like the thought of being behind the net. We have never been to this park so....Any suggestions ?

We usually sit in the family section and the net has not been a problem for us
How much is alcohol?

We got a refillable souvenir cup of beer. Cost was $10.00 for first then $4.00 for refills. Bottle beer I believe was around $4-5.00 and fancy drinks made with shine was around $5.75-7.00.
Is the stadium pet-friendly? I would like to bring my dog to a game this weekend

I don't think you can take your pet "anytime" (unless it's a service dog, of course). I'd contact the schedule to see the special day for pets.

We will stop to see a Smokies baseball game en route to Knoxville from NC. Please tell me what lodging options are right there.
Thanks.

There is a Hampton Inn right next to the ballpark. You can walk to the ballpark and save parking fee. From the upper floor rooms on front of building you can watch batting practice. It is called the Hampton Inn & Suites Sevierville @ Stadium Drive.

Saw the Smokies are in town when we are up there in May. On of the nights is the All You Can Eat night. Any idea of the cost and what foods are served?
Thanks

It wasn't too much, maybe $15. Per person.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, seems like fries or chips.
It was pretty good.
Go hungry.
