I was driving down I40 eastbound when a female driver driving the taxi van started tailgating me, I switched lanes and she proceeded to tailgate the next car, that car brake checked her and she almost caused a huge accident. This driver was driving like a complete idiot. Do not call this service or you will be taking a huge risk.

I took Paradise taxi back to the airport. WOW>>>> They are a true commercial for UBER. I opened the back of the mini van to put my luggage in. There was not cover over the really dirty spare tire. The driver automatically opened the passenger side sliding door, and told me I had to climb over the broken seat, as it would not go up, and the door on the other side was broken. The ride didnt get any better. The driver spoke the entire ride about how his 3 girlfriends had found out about each other and he was hiding out from them. The stories of his time traveling the country as a carnival worker and the crazy situations he had gotten out of didnt help either.
I paid with a credit card, and tried to leave a tip, but was told he didnt know how to do that. I could not get a receipt either. That will be fun trying to explain to my accounting department. First time in 3 years that I din not use UBER. Never again.

December 23rd was a dismal rainy day in Knoxville... POURING RAIN at times & almost non-stop get-you-wet other times.
At 5:50PM we asked the Hampton to get us a cab to take us to the Tennessee Theatre about a half a mile away on S Gay Street... to pick us up at 6:10PM. The Paradise Taxi arrived FINALLY at 6:30PM, but the driver was apologetic and did get us to the theatre in time for the 7PM performance of Nutcracker by the Moscow Ballet.
Afterwards, around 9:15PM we walked down Gay Street (in a light drizzle) to get a pizza. Around 10 PM (from the corner 600-700 block) I called Paradise for a cab back to the hotel. Our driver earlier had said a return ride later would be "no problem" because it would not be shift change. LOL
The dispatcher said it would be 30 minutes. Since the street is closed in that 700 block, I asked her to call when the cab was at the corner where we would have to meet it. Sure... no problem. So we walked back to Dazzo's and reclaimed our table to wait for a call.
By 10:30 PM Dazzo's was beginning to close up so I called Paradise ONCE AGAIN about "how long" for our cab. THIS TIME the dispatcher told me that it would be AN HOUR OR MORE before we could get a ride. ABSURD... and I did not have a number for any other taxi service.
By this time the rain had about stopped so I CANCELLED THE CAB! We walked back the half mile to the Hampton... arriving some 15-20 minutes later. FWIW, downtown Knoxville appears to be relatively safe... we passed two Knoxville policemen patrolling Gay Street and later shared a greeting with a security guard checking the complex on Main Street where the TN Supreme Court is located.
Word to the wise... if you need a taxi, try some other provider... AND BE SURE to carry a couple of numbers for the competition "just in case."
