About
Knox Whiskey Works is a small batch, craft distillery based in Knoxville, TN. Our mission is to harness the collective skill, passion and expertise of East Tennessee to create authentic, distinct and delicious hand-crafted spirits. Led by our head distiller, we craft our spirits in small batches from locally sourced products. We work with local farmers and artisans to create unique spirits representative of East Tennessee. Knox Whiskey Works is Knoxville's first (legal) distillery. Established in 2015, we craft award-winning Old City Heirloom Corn Whiskey from local corn. Once distilled, it is placed in new charred oak barrels to rest until it becomes bourbon. Along with our corn whiskey, we produce Jackson Ave Gin, Marble City Pink Gin, Cold City Old Brew Coffee Liqueur, Deals Gap Dragon Tail Whiskey, Dry Gap Gin, Fleur de Vie Liqueur, Tennessee Valley Vodka, Tennessee Tailgate Orange Flavored Vodka, Three Rivers Rum, and new products are always "in the Works."

Tom is amazing. Cute older gentleman who knows his stuff! Prices are fair, and their fall cocktails taste great. TRY THE DRUNKIN PUMPKIN! It was my first experience at a whiskey distillery and it was definitely a memorable one. Staff amazing, prices fair, and the liquor is good tasting.

Decided to drop in... just because... and was pleasantly surprised. It’s cute and the staff was great.
We tried a few of the tastings and ended up purchasing a couple. Like several of the other reviews, I was particularly fond of the coffee liqueur, but I also found the Dragon Tail whiskey interesting. Silver whiskey was my third choice, but it didn’t make the ride home.
It was a fun stop. Go see for yourself!!!

We visited Knox Whiskey Works on my birthday and it was a great way to start the day! My husband and friends enjoyed flights and I had a delicious cocktail. Whitney was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the products and the local area. We purchased some bottles and will definitely visit again if we're back in the area.

My third visit to Knox whiskey Works. I really do enjoy their offerings. The cinnamon whiskey is really good and my favorite is there Jen, not the pink gin. Staff was very friendly and they make a really nice cocktail.

Really enjoyable visit, enjoyed the tour and the samplings. New attraction in Knoxville. A bit off the beaten path but worth the effort. They have a selection of vodka, gin and whiskey. They also offer a coffee liquor, highly recommend. I will be back again for another sampling.

I took a bit of a walk to the Knox Whiskey works after leaving my spouse to shop in the many stores of Market Square in downtown Knoxville. The young lady at the distillery was knowledgeable and helpful and the gin and other products I sampled were very palatable. I am a bit of a gin aficionado and thought their pink gin to be very well balanced but the coffee liqueur was the truly outstanding product at this visit. If you have a bottle of Kahlua or some other sweet coffee liqueur you should really feel compelled to throw it away once you sample this fantastic and flavorful coffee based spirit with its modest level of sweetness and robust coffee flavor. Well worth the trip if you are in Knoxville.

Did the KY Bourbon trail, and some others, this smaller version was were personably friendly, and just more enjoyable Bc of the personnel , I highly recommend it to anyone in the area

This is always a memorable stop on the TN Whiskey Trail. They have a great and ever expanding selection of fine liquors from coffee to bourbon and everything in between. Not a moonshine stop but they offer a very refined selection. I prefer their gins and the dragon tail whiskey. We have stopped in there twice (1 year apart) and plan on it for our next visit to Knoxville.

This distillery was a delightful place that I accidentally stumbled into! The employees were all very pleasant, knowledgeable and personable. Ashley, Ryan and Lexi were so amazing and are clearly passionate about their product and just want to let you know more about it. The spirits are all amazing and I highly recommend the marble city pink gin and the silver release bourbon whiskey! Definitely check this place out when you're in Knoxville.

Ryan had a full bar and then some and gave a fantastic overview of all the spirits! The Three Rivers Rum was a favorite with us along with the coffee liqueur. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the Knoxville area!
