I like trains and I like wine. This is a natural. Blue Slip is the first Knoxville winery and the first urban winery in Tennessee. Located in the Historic Southern Railway Station, Blue Slip provides a special event venue for parties, receptions, etc. Truly a great space with ample parking. Wine tastings available daily except Mondays. My daughter has this space reserved for upcoming wedding/reception (including 3 cases of their product). I'll check back to tell if the performance equals the promise.

Bryce was wonderful...he took us on a tour of the rail cars and then was a great host at the wine tasting. It is nice to see a local business doing well. They have a nice variety of wines: red, white and blush or fruit wines. Something for everything and Bryce was good at deciding what samples the different individuals would want to try.

Located in the Historic Southern Railway Station, Blue Slip Winery is not only Knoxville's only urban winery, but the ONLY urban winery in the state of Tennessee. Blue Slip Winery offers free wine tastings of its locally grown and in-house bottled and produced wines. The winery boast an impressive variety of wines, so there is a bottle for everyone! This winery is definitely worth visiting if you are near the downtown area or just passing by!

Located inside The Historic Southern Railway Station, Blue Slip Winery is a must to visit. Wine tasting is available daily for free. The wine is made from fruits grown in the state of Tennessee. Very tasty wines to have with your meals or just evening glass.

If you haven't been yet, you need to go! It's the only winery located inside the city of Knoxville, conveniently located in the Old City. The wines are true Tennessee wines meaning they are only made from Tennessee fruit. Their blackberry wine is great! Not too sweet as you'd expect and evened out with a bit of tartness. There is nothing like it. The winery is located inside the Historic Railway Station. The building is BEAUTIFUL. The staff will gladly give you a tour and brief history on the building. You can also get a train tour during certain times of the day at a small price. They host all sorts of event from weddings, comedy nights, small acoustic concerts, cooking classes, and occasionally a food truck park with live music. Who doesn't love food trucks?! Great for those just driving through the city, or locals in need of a tasteful, inexpensive bottle of wine. Did I mention they're open on Sunday? Now that's hard to find in the south.

Located in the old strain station this little winery has charm. The wines are ok but then Tennessee is not exactly known for wines. I was happy to see alternative to the fruity and sweet wine offerings often served in the area.

This is worth a stop for a quick tasting.

Great spot for a wine lover - they offer a good amount of tastings for around $5. Their wines are generally sweeter, but they have a few good dry wines too. I love that they host a lot of fun events between the winery and the bistro such as the food truck parks, trivia night, and ladies night out.

I like wineries with character. This was just a tasting room winery. I will say, I enjoyed the wines. I can't remember the young gentleman's name,Josh or Jason. He was very knowledgeable. But it was just a tasting room, no vines on the grounds.

Enjoyed the wine tasting! Very informative and adventurous! Who knew blackberry wine can be substituted for water when making brownies!

The best part of this was the sweet Ohio young man that runs tasting bar. We enjoyed several wines and loved talking to him. It was so much fun!!
