The Mast General Store is, after all, well-named. They sell a vast selection general products, but honestly, I came here for the candy. Besides having barrels full of typical American candy, they sell clothes, cookware, home goods, and a whole downstairs I didn't go. The location is really good, right across the street from Market Square. One complaint, the candy... More

This store near Market Square in downtime Knoxville was so much fun to visit. There are gift ideas for everyone on your list - candy, kitchen items, unique finds, toys, clothing, and more! We could have spent hours in here!

We always like to visit Mast General whenever we are near one. We have been to the one in Knoxville many times. We always find something to buy. This time we got some Christmas gifts, and a few things for ourselves. They always have such a good variety of products.

I was raised in the era of the department store, and therefore find Mast extremely appealing. There are actual departments with different merchandise, and the folks who work there are among the nicest people you will ever meet. I have noticed hard-to-find items in the candy, toy, and kitchen departments. The downstairs is devoted to shoes and outdoor equipment, all... More

I think my family took me out of here kicking and screaming. Everything that you could ever want is here. The basement level is an outdoorsman paradise. And the top level has eye candy everywhere. Do not miss!

So much fun to visit. Still smiling. Great tourist trinket and trash store plus some old time goodies. I love this store as much as my wife does Nordstroms. Great for kids. Best store in Knoxville. 1 block North of Market Square.

I love visiting here whenever we are downtown. It reminds me of an old general store with a little bit of everything. My favorite area is the candy section because it is filled with a lot of candy you can't find now a days. They have a unique collection of clothes, housewares, outdoors, shoes, toys, and specialty foods. There is... More

Located on Gay St which runs parallel to Market Sq. We ckd out the area in the back with the jams, jellies, bbq sauces. Oh & yes we did buy from the candy area($7.99/lb). You just grab a bucket & get what you want. Cashiers will weigh it before you purchase so if you overdo it, you can amend. I... More
