A friend of mine joined me for the Tommy Emmanuel concert that was held in March 2020. It was my first time at the Tennessee theater having heard so much about it from my friends who grew up in the Knoxville area. I have only lived here four years. Before you go I recommend you get on their website or look at videos of the history and restoration of the theatre. Many of the local people call it ‘our theater’ because it truly is the shining star of Knoxville. The architectural style is indicative of the time period in which it was created and designed in. The theater is a mix of many different European architectural designs. The acoustics and the sound system are very good. The seats are comfortable although a little small for a big man like me. The entire auditorium area is so beautifully done. You can spend 20 minutes just looking around and enjoying it. As you would expect, the bathrooms in an older facility like this and can get pretty busy during the show. There was a even a line for the men’s room so if you’re going to a concert expect to stand in line at intermission. Overall a very delightful experience. One that is going to motivate me to go to other concerts in the near future. …

We go to numerous concerts and shows at The Tennessee Theatre throughout the year. One of my favorite venues of all time! BEAUTIFUL with great sound and a wonderful, intimate atmosphere. You won't be dissapointed.

This historic theater is absolutely beautiful! We have been there for operas and music offerings and it is always enjoyable. The ushers are very helpful and seating is plentiful. There is usually a full bar available as well

WE went to see "Its a Wonderful life" in this theater for Christmas this year and its beautiful. Full bar open the night we went also.

Visiting Knoxville and the historic Tennessee Theater for the first time, we saw "Fiddler on the Roof" just before New Years. Very cool venue with antique chandeliers in the lobby,and incredible ornate decorations in the theater itself. Definitely worth seeing if you're in Knoxville. "Fiddler" was excellent, too!…
