Since 2010, Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tours has been spooking customers during investigation-based ghost tours. These tours have been features in SyFy Channels "Ghost Hunters" magazine recognizing the extent of Knoxville's Historical and Haunting past. Deemed the "Hidden Gem of Haunted America", these excursions are personally led by owner J. Adam Smith, who has been featured as an expert on Paranormal Paparazzi and has investigated paranormal activity for over a decade, taking tour-goers on educational, researched journeys to local haunts on public or private tours that, depending on the tour, traverse graveyards, Gay Street Bridge, and an old Confederate jail. Participants may reach out and connect with the spirits who committed a three-way homicide or the ghosts of hanged men at the actual locations of paranormal activity. These tours take guests on investigations with trained paranormal professionals to locations known for their traumatic histories. Another reason HKGT have been receiving the Nations attention is due to the fact participants are given real professional paranormal investigation tools to help encourage paranormal evidence and encourage team building. Last weekend I took my hard-to-entertain 25-year old brother on the Market Square tour. We have lived in Knoxville for many years and I have performed on countless stages all over. I have gotten to know the backstories of many venues and buildings, yet we...More

This tour was awesome! It was my first and my wife's second "ghost" tour. It was a fun 2.5 hours and didn't feel rushed. However, I must say that the highlight was the crazy history that we learned about our downtown that I had never...More

My husband and I joined another couple downtown for dinner and wanted to do something different afterward. You know, dinner and a movie or concert gets kind of old. We had a small group of about 10 people and our guide, J. Adam Smith, was...More

I have been on ghost tours in many cities (Charleston, Savanah, etc) , but this was definitely the most fun and impressive. J provided the tools and instructions for properly investigating and verifying paranormal experiences, then led our group on a historic tour of locations...More

We've been on many tours & theres no comparison. J-Adam Smith teaches u how & gets you involved hands on with real equipment. The Historical knowledge J shares will never let you see Knoxville the same again.

Did this tour with a group of work friends. We all currently live in Knoxville. It was not like the other ghost/historical walking tours I had done in other cities it was more like a ghost investigation. J-Adam distributed ghost hunting equipment and gave a...More

I am skeptical of supernatural activity. Jay was very very informative. He was very good in his explanation of the equipment that we used. His three "ground zero" locales to use our equipment were easy walking distance and historically significant to knoxville's history. The cemetery...More

I would say 1 to 1.25 miles with stops along the way... The stops include the hands-on investigation part of the tour where participants can sit.
