Since 2010, Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tours has been spooking customers during investigation-based ghost tours. These tours have been features in SyFy Channels "Ghost Hunters" magazine recognizing the extent of Knoxville's Historical and Haunting past. Deemed the "Hidden Gem of Haunted America", these excursions are personally led by owner J. Adam Smith, who has been featured as an expert on Paranormal Paparazzi and has investigated paranormal activity for over a decade, taking tour-goers on educational, researched journeys to local haunts on public or private tours that, depending on the tour, traverse graveyards, Gay Street Bridge, and an old Confederate jail. Participants may reach out and connect with the spirits who committed a three-way homicide or the ghosts of hanged men at the actual locations of paranormal activity. These tours take guests on investigations with trained paranormal professionals to locations known for their traumatic histories. Another reason HKGT have been receiving the Nations attention is due to the fact participants are given real professional paranormal investigation tools to help encourage paranormal evidence and encourage team building. Kudos to J Adam Smith for his paranormal and historical knowledge! I am a professional investigator and found this to be very educational and fun. He is very interactive with his guests and even the kiddos love it. A must do when in Knoxville. Time and $$ well spent.

I am skeptical of supernatural activity. Jay was very very informative. He was very good in his explanation of the equipment that we used. His three "ground zero" locales to use our equipment were easy walking distance and historically significant to knoxville's history. The cemetery was the best part and even I witnessed some supernatural occurrences. Well worth the money... More

We had been promising our son (age 10) to take him on this tour for weeks, as he is really interested in ghosts and hauntings. We were not disappointed! J. was incredibly well-versed on area history and was able to share that information in an entertaining way that help everyone's attention. But the ghost investigations were the star point! The... Took my family and they all had fun. The guide is very passionate about ghost hunting and ghosts and it makes it very entertaining (at least for me). Great history lesson very well informed. I myself don't believe in ghosts, spirits, ect... but I had fun, the guide is very understanding of unbelievers (he tries hard to turn you) and... More

My wife and I will always go on a ghost tour if the city we visit has one. I find that some of the best historians are the ones giving the tour and it's always a good time. The one in Knoxville is no exception. The gentleman we had as a tour guide was named Jay and he not only... More

My family and I participated in this ghost tour, which is also as ghost hunt! We were given various ghost hunting tools and a quick ghost hunting class! It was so much fun. We learned lots of history about Knoxville. Lots of fun!

This tour had a lot of great historical information. The tools used for ghost hunting were fun, but not sure how effective they were. If you're into local history and are looking for something fun to do, I would say definitely check it out.
