Lovely place for a stroll

We stayed in a nearby hotel so after breakfast we walked around the park. It is a lovely place for a stroll. The sunsphere was not open while we were there.

Beautiful in spring and summer. It is very peaceful walking around seeing everything changing. The park is clean and security comes through so to me safe.

It was dead, nothing to do, no water or fountains, actually quite creepy. Probably great during summer, but you don-t need to stop here in winter time.

My first time up in the "ball" and although it was a cloudy day, the views were breathtaking and I received a bit of a history lesson as well. We were just sad the restaurant was not open for a warm beverage on such a chilly day!

Spring to fall especially nice way to spend a morning or afternoon. The 'Sunshpere' is a treat for the view which goes to the mountains and some history around the interior walls. The long elevator ride to the top is also fun. Children and adults enjoy the entire park as there is a great playground and a newly added space... More

There isn't a whole lot to do in the park but it is a nice little scenic section in downtown Knoxville. Also you get the historic value of it being where the worlds tour was. Definitely neat to check out if you're in the area.

Originally the site of the 1982 Worlds Fair (originally titled Energy Expo), the city has built a very nice public space. Complete with fountains, lake and waterfall (man-made) it is the site of many interesting events throughout the year. The place comes alive 3 seasons out of the year as diverse events usually pack the grounds.
