If you visit Bays Mountain be ready to walk and wear comfortable shoes. My teenaged daughter (who hates most everything ; ) loved the wolf enclosure. They have a pack of wolves at the park and when you hear the whole pack howl at the same time it sends chills down your spine. There are also other animal displays like... More

Love to visit this park, loaded with great wildlife, white tail deer everywhere. And they have wolves plus lots of native animals. They have a nice aviary with several great birds, Eagles, owls, falcons. Many miles of great hiking trails.

So much to do. Family Pass is a great deal! We could go to the planetarium one trip and a boat ride the next.

Bays Mountain is the first place I recommend to anyone visiting the Tri-Cities area, and especially the Kingsport area. My grandsons do not live in the area, and always want to go to Bays Mountain when they visit. We love the animals, and the grandsons really enjoy being there at feeding time! We like the barge ride, the planetarium shows,... More

Small and stellar (yep, I meant that as a pun!) the planetarium at Bays Mountain in Kingsport is a sweet spot for residents and visitors alike. It's small enough inside the round theater that your experience is intimate and quite honestly, there is not a bad seat in the theater because of how the seats are arranged in a bowl... More

Since there are very few things to do in the Kingsport area, Bays Mountain is a great place for families to spend some quality time. The planetarium is wonderful place to cool down on a summer afternoon. Many species of birds around the park, and wildlife can be seen in a natural habitat. Highly recommended for both natives and visitors.

Didn't walk the trails but it looked like a fun place to take the family. Just drove through to look.

Barge ride, planetarium, herpaterium, Aviary, and a WOLF PACK!!!! Ropes course and zip line looked exciting. Paved trails and earthen paths for mountain biking and hiking. Huge city park with diverse inventory of wildlife. Nature center features Naturalist led programs, exhibits, and clean bathrooms. $5 dollar per car fee and additional fees for programs - worth it!

I love this park a lot of nice hiking trails. The planetarium is also nice, you have a freshwater section downstairs that is nice. The lake is awesome and the barge rides are fun.
