Bays mountain park has many more trails than meets the eye. There is so much to do from being a young family to avid hikers its all there. Beautiful lake and spectacular ridge trails for the casual and sometimes not so casual hikers.

Bays Mountain is a great place for a quick hike. Close to town and plenty of paths to explore. They have an awesome planetarium with very good shows. There are also plenty of critters to see and learn about.

We enjoyed our recent visit to the Planetarium for the "Dark Matter" presentation. Very informative and interestingly presented pre-recorded video program. If you love nature and educate about Northeast Tennessee then this is your place. This is a great place to spend sometime with your kids and teach them a thing or two.

They are allowed but not in all areas. These areas are marked so there is no confusion. Have a leash and enjoy. We had our dog there not long ago.
