Visit here often. My kids and I love it. If you go during fun fest when the tour is basically self guided the school room isn't open. Sad face, But the guided tour isn't that expensive (a donation, come on you have $30 to preserve history) and you get to go everywhere. Seeing that dress still creeps me out. We... More

History including salt transport on the river by King James, the Old Stage Road, and famous guests set this historic site apart. Reassembled cabin once lived in by Daniel Boone was neat. Worth visiting for a guided tour.

The tour guide was very informative and I learned a lot that I didn't know before. It is a beautiful site with a very rich history. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Kingsport or the surrounding area.

Netherland Inn is interesting if you have never been before (if you are from the area/near the area). Not sure I would pay a great deal - but during FunFest you can go for free.

If you are into history, especially of the Kingsport area, this is a must see. The Inn is located across from the original port, river boat slip of this area. It has not been updated and shows the history proudly. Out back there are other log buildings and a river boat.

My wife & I first visited "The Netherland Inn" in Kingsport, Tennessee, 2 years ago in 2013. We were lucky enough to be able to revisit this year 2015 during a visit with friends nearby.
