Wedding reception

Too long ago to pick a month, don't know if it's changed, but we were very happy with it then! Very accosting, and made everything pleasant for everyone!

Good place for small to medium sized weddings; just hope it does not rain if you are planning an outside wedding. The place looks large but it is actually small inside. Great photos on the large winding staircase to the upstairs. I have photographed several weddings there and if you are expecting more than 100 you better look elsewhere. I... More

Originally built and lived in by a very successful local businessman, this lovely large place was donated to the city upon his death. Many acres including picnic area, large barn, pond, are well kept for enjoyment of all who visit -- local or otherwise.

We just drove through and it is a beautiful place. Wish we would have had time to schedule a tour. I would recommend seeing this beautiful old plantation.

Quiet an up town house for Kingsport. Now the poor folks traveling through can see it for a modest price! It once was the home of a wealthy Kingsport family and did they ever have good taste! At Christmas the house and grounds glows with tender care and it remains a Grand old Dame.

I have no opinion of this site. It is not really historic. Lots of events are held here though. It is a very nice event site.

The mansion looks like a historic Georgian mansion but actually was built in 1949 by a local businessman. What is most impressive was the scrupulous attention to Georgian architectural design. The curator took some time from his busy day to discuss the building and the family that built and lived in the mansion before it was given to the city... More
