We stumbled upon this place while driving through the area. Looking forward to coming back for the October festival! Started as a small, one man story teller and has grown into quite the gathering. Jonesborough is a wonderful, small historic town to wander around as well.

Storyteller in residence was great! He wove four or five different stories together of various life-experiences and personalities he along the way. Some were funny and some were sad just like life. This was the summertime concert series which is not to be confused with the International Festival that attracts over 11,000 visitors. We did not stay for the day's story teller, but would purchase tickets the next time we visit. The gift shop has a lot of child friendly toys and lots of books.

If you ever want to forget all your problems go to Jonesborough the first weekend in October. The storyteller festival and the tellers who entertain there will transport you to a place where you will be completely absorbed. You will not be disappointed. There are some kids there but most of the 5000 people enjoying the festival are adults.…
