The Reece museum always has interesting displays. One of my favorite memories at the museum is the Salvador Dali art exhibit that featured a collection of paintings representing Dante's Inferno. Another interesting display was the eugenics portion from the Washington DC Holocaust Museum.

on the campus at ETSU is this wonderful little museum. stop by campus security/police to get a parking permit and directions as it sits on a one way street. the exhibits are forever changing so call to see what is on display or just drop in and enjoy whatever they have for you. lovely time well spent. stroll over to the Slocumb Art Gallery too. enjoy.

I was looking for a good summertime activity for my nieces and nephew when they were visiting for the week. When it's hot outside even the area playgrounds are not real enjoyable. We did enjoy this museum, even at their ages (4, 7, and 9 yrs). All of them found something interesting for them. Afterwards, we walked up to Ball Hall to see Slocumb Galleries which is small but enjoyable.

We visited the Reece Museum for a homeschool field trip and it was wonderful. The featured local artists make you proud to be from Tennessee! My son loved the section on storytelling. Kind and educated staff!

Visited museum to see train depot exhibit curated by students at Governor's School. My son learned a tremendous amount of knowledge about archiving and the curative process. Spencer helped him tremendously and I was very impressed by all of the exhibits, not only the train depots.

This is a great little museum on the campus of ETSU. They have rotating exhibits, some of which feature student works and often times will feature outstanding touring exhibits. A must see.

Parking was a problem. The exhibits, though, were beautiful and well-placed for viewing. From antique pianos, to spinning wheels, to native Appalachian art, the Reece Museum if a delightful bon mot for locals and visitors alike.

Reece Museum is located on the campus of East Tennessee State University but its exhibitions are not focused on a student audience but on the general public. They present excellent exhibitions of art as well as historical and local general interest subjects. Staff members are always available and helpful. One downer is that due to the limited budget and staff, they are not open on weekends
which should be premium time for visitation.
