NICE PARK
Apr 2021
The park is clean & well maintained - including the restrooms. My friend & I go frequently to walk the path. I would have given it 5 stars, but there is a sign posted on the walking path indicating a lap is approximately 1.8 miles. IT IS NOT!! I had a pedometer app on my phone & my friend has a fit bit & we walked 3 complete laps after which both devices showed 2.4 miles. Apparently, the sign should read approximately 0.8 miles per lap. We still enjoy walking there & will continue to visit, but now we know the distance around the path & have adjusted the number of laps we walk accordingly.

walks are paved but unmarked.
Nov 2020
If you are going for a casual stroll in the park, this is it. However, the walks are paved but unmarked. They are in a zigzag get you turned around pattern with no markers and no waypoints.

Its a beautiful place and the access from both sides , makes the park more adventurous.
I have taken my grandchildren to the park when they where younger & continue to utilize still.Ive enjoyed the park as much as they did. Walking while the children rode their bikes MAKES SUPERVISION OF THEIR WHERE ABOUTS EASIER. CHILDREN ARE BUSY LITTLE PEOPLE BUT WITH THIS ENVIRONMENT MAKES IT A GOOD PLACE TO START RAISING THEM RIGHT.

We love this park and meet friends here often. Caught the best sunset here Sunday night! Brought our friends who are international students, and they really enjoyed it!

This park is wonderful for all ages. Picnic tables, volleyball pit, basketball court, an amazing dog park, walking trails and much more. The fact that it is nearly at my back door helps too!!

A Little Bit of Everything
Jul 2019
Multiple small playgrounds for kids, a gated dog park, sand volleyball pit, full basketball court, picnic tables, pavilion, and walking trails (trails could use a little more shade on very hot days).

This is a beautiful park. It is a great place for couples, kids, or just the single person wanting to go for a walk or run. There are many things to do.

Who could ask for more?

This is known as a "dog park" among the locals but it's often used for other things. I took drum lessons there for a while. The cement table was a perfect spot for my drum pad and music. The mild breeze is delightful and there is shade for those who would rather not be in the sun. It's a great place to walk (with or without your furry friend). There is no noise from traffic or highways because . . . there isn't any! It's off a side road in Johnson City (a narrow one at that). If not for the small sign, one could easily pass the street. Peace, quiet, breeze, view. Who could ask for more?
