About
Century Farm Winery, located in Jackson, Tennessee, was founded by Jo and Carl O’Cain. It is now operated by Jo’s son, Bart Horton. This fully functioning farm has been growing a full gamut of horticultural crops since Jo’s family started farming the land over 150 years ago. Originally the Spivey Farm, it now gets its name because of its designation as a “Tennessee Century Farm” by the Center for Historic Preservation. Century Farm wines include Dry Reds, Semi-Sweet Red, White and Blush wines, Sweet and Fruit wines as well as a Dessert or Port Style wine. We also offer seasonal items such as Mulled wine which is served warm in winter months or slushes such as Sangria and Peach Bellini for the summer season. Our Cranberry wine made from 100% cranberry juice has always been a big hit for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Very nice family winery. Very Good wines for a reasonable price.
Paige is very professional and completely knowledgeable of every wine. She made our experience very enjoyable.
The Chocolate Decadence port style wine is a true treasure. Absolutely fabulous.
So worth the trip from Memphis. We are going to start making this a Simi regular trip.
Went yesterday, going back tomorrow.
Looking forward to it.

Amazingly beautiful area and property. This is a definitely visit spot...we made a day visit, but I bet their music events are great because our single drop-by experience was. Beautiful, clean, welcoming tasting room. Neka was so welcoming and engaging, sharing both family and property history. Max out the tasting options because the wines are very good. Fun and imaginative gift wares.

My daughter and I had a fantastic visit. The wine was amazing, and the staff knowledgeable. I was so impressed. This stop was the highlight of our trip.
We plan on returning when they start giving tours again. We were told the tours were haulted due to covid.

I was really excited about visting Century Farms on my way home from Nashville. When I got there, there was a political sign in the yard. I understand that it's a family owned business and its a free country but politics and bussiness are like church and state, it just doesn't mix.

There are several wineries in both Memphis and Jackson, TN. My husband and I being from Memphis can say that we have been to all of them. Century Winery by far is the BEST!

Century Winery is owned by Carl and Jo O'Cain and the farm has been in the family for over 100 years. Their wine was won numerous wine tasting awards but that is only a fraction of what makes this winery Great.....Personal Attention to their customers!

When Jo sees me she calls me by name, asks about my daughter and husband. And when my daughter had a specific question on making wine, Carl took us back where the wine was made!

And last week, Tom who works at the winery suggested I buy a Cayuga white wine instead of a dryer white wine for my chicken piccata recipe and he was on the money!

If you come in the Summer, check out their music at the winery events!

Friends take my advice. If you are on I-40 near Jackson go to Century Winery. You will be glad you did!

Just off I 40 very near Jackson, TN is a small family owned winery that serves up a very nice tasting. They offer only a few wines but have won several table wine awards. The store and tasting room is very open with a few "I was here items" but several food items to buy with your wine for a stop on the road surprise picnic. Yes, we did find a couple of favorites. While there the owner served up a wine slushie, it was great for a hot summer day. Of course we bought the mixing ingredient and a nice pairing to go with it. We will enjoy with our family on Memorial Day.

My wife and I have stopped by the Century Farm Winery many times since they opened, have attended some of their Music in the Vines nights, and stotally enjoyed their wines. Jo is the wife, a sweet lady and very knowledgeable about the wines, From my experience, Carl is about the best winemaker in Tennessee. Have never picked up a bad bottle of wine from them and have never had a bad experience stopping by, many times at the spur of the moment. I would suggest to anyone that they take the time to stop by and enjoy the wine.

It is always a treat for us to stop and pick up a few bottles of wine. Carl will even share with you the history of his wine and all the awards he has received for it, while you are doing a wine tasting. In our home we each have our favorites of the many wines Carl brews.

Be sure to stop in. Easy to find, off I-40 then down a country road for about a mile or two. If you enjoy wine, I am sure you will love this wine, made from the grapes right there at the Century Farm Winery.

I saw this on Trip Advisor when looking for something to do between Nashville and Memphis. Being only a few miles off the interstate I thought we'd stop by. So glad we did! We were greeted by Tom, a Scottish retired soccer player. He was so friendly and fun to talk to. Tom took the time to tell us about their vineyard, the wine making process, etc. It was very informative and a lot of fun. Small facilities but worth going. They have a wine tasting area with about 15 different kinds to try if you like. Also a small gift shop area that's part of the wine tasting section where you can get the wine, shirts, hats, etc. They also have apple cider and raspberry vinaigrette dressing which we bought (haven't tried yet). Will go back for sure if for no other reason than to visit with Tom. Highly recommend going to Century Farms Winery!

We stopped here while traveling and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The woes were good and Neal was a wonderful hostess. If you like wine, you need to stop here and try them.
