Thank you for the great review! Construction on the swinging bridge is scheduled to start on November 22nd 2018. This will make the hike to the fort a lot easier!

I love this place everyone is so nice, very clean. Great rangers and staff. We really enjoyed the hiking trails and the Fort is well maintained. We hope to return very soon!!!

The park Is a great place to go hiking, fishing and camping. Beautiful views, clean trials knowledgeable staff. I have a great time every time I go.

Fort Pillow is rather remote, follow the signs carefully. There's a visitor center with a film that is quite pro-Southern and exhibits that gloss over the massacre of black soldiers perpetuated when Nathan Bedford Forest captured the place. The museum was overrun with panhandling scouts...More

If you want to understand what happened at Fort Pillow you walk the land. Once you see redoubt you'll under why casualties were so one sided.

This park has some of the best marked hiking trails we've seen. There are even markers along the way to let you know how far you've been. Quite beautiful too.
