We stayed here in our 20' travel trailer. The spots were very sloped and some were washed out. It was very difficult to get level. Not much to do at this park for kids. The walking bridge across the pond had fallen in. The bathrooms were absolutely horrible. Women's restroom had feces smeared on one of the stalls. The showers... More

Needed somewhere to stop for the night during our vacation with our 3 grandchildren. If you're looking for a campground that has a ton of things to do...this is not the place. Kids were bored. Bathrooms need an overhaul. All in all, not a bad little campground if you're just looking to spend one night.

Nice Retreat, with Campground, Cabins, Group Camping, Horse Stables, Beach, Lake, Multiple Hiking Trails, adjacent National Forest with ATV Access Trails/Snow-Mobile Trails, My family has stayed in the cabins on two occasions now, we stay in the one that is pet-friendly because we bring our dog, and can sleep 6. I has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and... More

This park is less than 5 miles from our house. We have 4 kids and a budget. You can pack up a picnic and choose any picnic table (2 dozen tables maybe) in a shaded area and then enjoy the playground or go swimming for free in the lake (no lifeguard on duty) or rent a panel boat for a... More

My husbands family decided to have a family reunion at the park. We had a nice drive to get there but were impressed when we arrived. The park was clean. I could not see any trash on the side of the road from the car or when we got out. Parking areas were plentiful and well marked. We were at... More

Excellent ride through the woods! The ride is about an hour and the young lady was very friendly and wonderful to ride with. My daughter 13 (her second ride) and was thrilled she actually wanted to go again. Great trails-not just a path as some I've been on.

Campground is beautiful, easy to access and if you reserve there is no need to check in. Crowds are interesting... Mostly families with children. Tends to be very noisy all night and very early in the morning. Hiking trails were not easily accessible from the tent campground. The beach has one small swimming section, which was very crowded and upon... More

Our family had a great time at Chickasaw State Park. We planned a fun day trip from Memphis out to the park. The drive is an easy hour and fifteen minute drive from east Memphis. If you go out Hwy 64 (Summer Ave) you’ll pass through Oakland, Somerville and Whitesville if you need to stop for anything, but most of... More

My best friends and I come every year in February. We are from the Memphis area so Chickasaw is a close destination. We stay in the cabins at Chickasaw State Park for the quiet, peaceful, and beautiful setting. There is nothing as relaxing as a lake view with a roaring, crackling fire. The cabins come fully stock with linens and... More

Chickasaw is a beautiful place to have picnics, ride bikes, paddle boat, walk on trails, take kids to the playground, play tennis, basketball, & football and just watch the sunset. Whenever I visit my family we always go here cause there's so much to do!! You can also spend the night in cabins which I've only done once and it... More
