Rafting was fun, although all the companies over rate the class of rapids. Wasn't a big fan of our guide, he tried but it seemed he didn't want to be there. We did the whole package with Wildwater. Zip line, lunch, and rafting at the upper pigeon. Lunch was way better than I expected. The little place in the back of the zip building smokes their own pork and I highly recommend.

My Family (3 teens/1 adult) had an absolute blast rafting down the Pigeon River. Curtis was our guide. He was sure to keep us all safe and made the entire experience one to remember for a life time. The wonderful action pictures we have prove it. Curtis kept us all laughing while telling stories and giving us facts about the river and the surrounding area. If your planning on taking this adventure be sure and ask for him. The beautiful scenery going down this river is breathtaking.
Be sure and grab a bite to eat at the Dog House. The food is absolute delicious!
Thank you Wildwater we'll be back!

My family came to Wildwater for both rafting and ziplining. We had a fantastic time! We rafted first. Our guide in the raft, cant remember her name, was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. As an experienced guide myself, she was everything a guide should be. Everyone loved it! Had several 1st timers with us and they loved it! Then we went ziplining. What exciting fun it was! We were scheduled to do the full canopy but got cut short due to lightning in area. Came back Friday to finish. BTW, they were practicing social distancing and we all wore masks which was comforting. Brooke and Lucas were so much fun! Cant remember the other rangers name, I apologize because they were all so professional, fun, friendly, personable and really made the experience unforgettable! Be sure to make this place a part of your vacation! More than worth it! Thank you so much and hopefully someday we will be back! -Rhonda #tropicalmountaingirl

This is the 7th time I’ve been here and this time my sister got to experience ziplining and white water rafting for her first time. JC and Isabella were great ziplining guides and Bailey was the best guide for water rafting. I would highly recommend this company as they always have the best staff & guides for a very enjoyable experience.

We went on 2 trips with Wildwater- one on the nantahala and one on the little pigeon. Both times we had great guides and the other staff was exemplary. Especially Suzanne - her customer service is top notch! Everyone practiced mask wearing indoors and good social distancing when possible. Overall a great, safe activity for the whole family!!!

Wildwater Rafting was wonderful! Our raft guide, William, was fun and full of knowledge of the river and area. The front desk ladies were the best and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great trip down the river. They do a great job making sure everyone is safe and sanitized in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Can’t recommend them enough!

We had such a great time that we had to book another tour before we returned home! We took our kids (9 and 12) on the Lower Pigeon Tour. It was an easy, leisurely ride with only a few small rapids, and our tour guide Jason was so much fun! We returned a few days later to do the Upper Pigeon because the kids wanted more action, and it did not disappoint! We never fell out of the boat (the kids were really concerned this would happen), but we fell into the boat a couple of times. Our guide, Bobby, was wonderful! Highly recommend and cannot wait to explore the other opportunities that Wildwater has. Our kids are huge fans of rafting now!

Our family of 3 had an amazing time today with Wildwater. My son had never been rafting before, my wife once, and myself a few times. But we decided on the upper pigeon for more adventure versus their lower pigeon trip. Our guide Matt was great giving pointers before each rapid and causing splash battles among the rafts! Highly recommend this outfitter for a great time!!

Had an awesome trip down the Pigeon River! Ashley was an excellent guide and new the river really well. Wild water is a great outfitter. More a comment on the river, can be rather crowded on weekends with all of the outfitters on this river. Wild water does a great job of getting you out on the river and staying safe. Will use them again.

My family and I enjoyed our trip on the pigeon river. Ages ranged from 4-40 and everyone had fun. The kids enjoyed getting out of the raft to swim in certain areas of the river. Our guide Sam was fantastic. I highly recommend you use Wildwater for your next rafting trip.

I have a very small 8 year old (she weighs about 50 lbs) - should we stick with lower river for rafting or do you think the upper river is ok.

Personally I would stick to the lower river rafting. There were probably 3 intense spots in the upper five rafting that if I wasn’t holding on correctly I would have fallen in. Our guide also knew that we didn’t want to dump over. If we had wanted to fall in he would have made sure of it! I would call their office and see what they say. Everyone there is very welcoming and they would be able to give you more of a straight forward answer!

We are Swiss family (with two girls 13 & 15 yrs) passing Hartford July 25. While the girls would love to do the zipline tour, my wife fears it. Can you give some more information about this tour which could help to convince my wife?

Hello Marcus- We are the largest provider of Zipline experiences in the SOUTHEAST US. with 5 locations. Our Pigeon location is one of our most popular and most scenic. All of our courses are designed for beginners and nervous flyers in mind. How?
1. We offer a ground school training where our "Rangers" will work with Guests on a short training Zipline about 5-10 feet above ground.
2. Our first few Ziplines on the actual tour are shorter and slower to continue to allow confidence to build up.
3. We designed the course to allow numerous exit points prior to getting longer, higher, and faster.
4. Our Rangers are trained in technical support and safety skills but also skills to coach and support Guests that are nervous and need extra support .
5. The Pigeon River Waterfall Gorge tour has spectacular not to miss features not available on any other Zipline in the region such as flying over a whitewater rafting river, flying over a waterfall, landing on a deck hanging from a scenic rock cliff, platforms in very large trees, and two side by side Ziplines where you can zip together.
Your visit falls in the peak week of our summer season so reservations are necessary to assure you get a space. You can add to the adventure and save by combining your Zipline experience with a guided whitewater rafting trip. I hope this is helpful. We love sharing our scenic forest and helping those that are nervous step outside of their comfort zone. Enjoy your visit!! Jeff, owner, trainer, Canopy Ranger

Staying near Pigeon Forge in August and considering the Wildwater package that includes the canopy tour, jeep tour and white water rafting. Our group includes two adults and three college kids who have never done ziplines or white water rafting before. How "safe" did you feel doing these activities? What are the chances of being bumped out of a raft? We are up for a moderate level of adventure, just not sure exactly what to expect never having done this. Appreciate any comments and suggestions!

Thanks for considering Wildwater. The Upper Pigeon River and Waterfall Zipline are great options for your family!! Although the rapids are fun and exciting our Guides serve as a great resource to put you in as big a waves as you like or bypass the bigger waves as desired. There are numerous Ziplines in the region but absolutely nothing like Wildwater's Zipline tours with zips across the river above the whitewater rafters, waterfalls, lush moss covered rocks and fern covered Forest floor with tree based platforms and the only platform and zip mounted into the side or a. 70' rock wall/cliff. Guides take care of all the details and safety clips. It will be a family adventure you won't soon forget. The Jeep tour is scenic but not an off road adventure. The family will probably enjoy the longer Waterfall Zipline Tour and Upper Pigeon Rafting over the shorter zip, raft and Jeep. The Jeep is great but maybe not a match for college students. We look forward to seeing and serving your family!! Team Wildwater
