Sadly the antique shops of Franklin have diminished. This particular mall is of fair size yet there wasn’t anything that caught our eye this trip. As folks who do a lot of antique shopping this was OK but much of it was pricey. Perhaps Covid has been a factor in the decline of interesting antique shops there days. Who knows?

Visitors from California and enjoyed browsing this antique mall in the downtown area of Franklin. We have been to antique stores in many states and this one is very good. There are unique old antiques, new items and plenty of interesting stuff to reminisce about. We are on a search for a pressure gauge solid brass and unfortunately didn’t find one in Franklin.

This antique mall is no longer an antique mall. A lot of rummage sale items and way too many new items. This was a good mall at one time but has changed and no longer worth visiting.

This place is in the old Franklin Ice House and that alone is amazing. It has 12,000 square feet and over 60 dealers but it seemed much larger to me. There are also a lot of different levels to it. I thought the place was very well organized and had wide main aisles. There were a couple of cluttered booths (one you couldn't even get to the items in the back unless you moved things out of the way). We just pass right past those because it isn't worth tripping over something or knocking something over. Also, if the booth owners don't care enough to keep their booth organized, then I don't care to waste my time with the booth. You probably won't find fine antiques here but you will find antiques and vintage (I don't care for fine antiques anyway). You'll find furniture, lighting, art, china, glass, porcelain, collectibles, vintage clothes, toys, some new items, repurposed items, memorabilia, vintage jewelry, metal sighs, kitchenware, books, pottery, holiday items, textiles, military, and much more. We left with a few items we didn't even know we needed.

To stay in business for an antique mall in today’s environment you can’t keep providing antiques. The owners here have added in new cool stuff but it has become a new product store- no longer an antique store. Well, I take that back- there are still a lot of antiques here but not as it used to be. You will see the difference if you were here a year ago. Nice environment, cool ceiling, awesome floors, what’s in between can be antiques or fake boxwood bushes. Very different. Worth a visit I suppose but a trip to rooms to go and pay attention to the accessories you’ve got it.
