The Franklin Theatre opened in the summer of 1937 when the marquee first illuminated Main Street. The downtown historic landmark closed in 2007 but reopened as a 300 seat venue in 2011 with an investment of more than $8 million to again enrich, inspire and connect our community. It still features classic and recent release movies, community and private events - but most exciting are the live concerts by diverse original talents such as Sheryl Crow, Art Garfunkel, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Vince Gill, Keb Mo and many more.

Visited in December to see EXILE. Sound system was not ideal for this venue. Sound was very loud upfront and bass was overdriven while the volume did not carry through to the back of the theatre. EXILE was fun and extra tables sitting up front made for nice viewing. Saw TG Sheppard, Kelly Lang, and T Graham Brown in the... More

What a wonderful little hidden gem!!! Being from Franklin, I have always been familiar with the theater. But, being able to share a little piece of my hometown with co-workers from across four states was wonderful! Seeing the renovations and upgrades and the historic photos and memorabilia really brings back memories of Franklin Past! The staff was wonderful and so... More

What could be better than watching a classic romantic holiday musical than inside the retro inspired renovated historic Franklin Theatre? Leaders in Franklin with a vision for preserving the very best from the past -- chose the old Theatre as a centerpiece of city pride. The venue is part movie theatre and part live performance venue with a focus on... More

I love supporting this small town theater! They have movies and live shows, both serve wine and beer. My kids love going here, it's convenient for us as locals, and it's cheaper than most movie theaters.

I have attended 4-5 events at the Franklin Theatre and it is a great venue for small concerts. Very intimate and great acoustics. The renovation is top quality.

Franklin Theater is one of my favorite venues - has a small town, friendly atmosphere, good acoustics and friendly staff. Their calendar is loaded with a variety of events. My wife and I bought the VIP tickets, and were rewarded with fine wine and high class hors d'oeuvres. Very intimate and enjoyable. Oh and did I say, the audience is... More

Franklin offers many things to do and great restaurants. However, the Theatre is quite unique and recently refurbished. Plan your trip to include a show here; and if you don't care for the shows, just visit the building. It is a great place - right on Main Street!

This truly is a great facility to enjoy live music. Any seat is a great seat. Limited seating, small and intimate. Our first choice for live music, especially acoustic.

Came here for the first time to hear T. GRAHAM BROWN, which he alone I will go anywhere...lol...this venue was so nice, very intimate & not a bad seat in the house. The stage is high enough up for everyone to see...acoustics were great...there were times we couldn't hear what Tony was saying due to a very loud man 2... More
